Great show and great band, as always. Journey truly is a legendary rock band, and we were very excited to see them. The band put on a perfect show with great energy and great selection of classic hits. The theater sound was great, and the audio quality was clear as well- ie, not too loud or piercing.
Yaamava Theater is also very nice venue with great seating, friendly staff, and easy-to-access entry/ exit into the theater itself. Our only pain point was traffic going into and exiting the casino parking, which seemed like a mile long bumper-to-bumper crawl when entering. And, once inside the parking structure, the casino parking attendants were somewhat oblivious as to where actual available parking was in each structure. Some were playing on their cell phones and not really helping or paying attention or routing traffic appropriately. We got shuffled into a lot that was 100% full. And, after getting stuck in a loop twice, we actually had to exit that parking structure and look for another one. We eventually found parking at another structure and made it into the show without issue.
Duran Duran were in fine form the night of January 2nd, 2025, when they took the stage at Yaamava Theatre. The beloved band, with more than 40 years to their name, played a tight, exhilarating set that combined their classic hits-"Rio," "Save A Prayer," "Hungry Like The Wolf"-with new songs, including a killer rendition of ELO's "Evil Woman." Simon Le Bon's vocal prowess shined and surpassed all expectations. Not only is his voice better now, it has a power unmatched. This fan has loved Duran Duran since their inception and the concert on January 2nd confirmed why I will forever love them.
I had a blast seeing Duran Duran! I have to mention my disappointment though at the seat prices. I went online when the event went on sale and sadly knew I wouldn’t be going. $750 to $1,000 + a ticket. Most of these all became resale tickets of course and the priced went up. I continued to check every day anyway up until the day before the show. The venue released single seats along the side of the theatre and I didn’t have to pay too many extra fees and ended up closer to the stages. For some reason I feel like a lot of guests attending were there because they were comped from gambling. It didn’t seem like everyone there was familiar with the songs. I was really hoping to hear more songs from their new album, but they only played a few.. Because I’m a fan, I have heard the popular Duran songs over and over for the last 40 years. I still had a really great time though, and I am happy that I attended.
Fantastic! He’s got a very engaging demeanor. He does t take himself too seriously but he sure does focus on giving an outstanding vocal show. Really very, very pleased. No question but I’d attend his concerts again.
Calum has always made great music, and we were expecting a good show. But seeing him live exceeded all expectations. Calum's joy at performing, his emotional transparency, and his delight in the audience is so endearing. What a great night, what a lovely man. Looking forward to seeing much more from him, and hope that he keeps his joy and wonder. Thank you, Calum.
Godsmack never disappoints. They rocked it hard as usual but this concert was a little special for me. Sully chose me to share his tequila with and I am still floating! The venue was nice and small so anyone pretty much had a good seat. The bar had cocktails named after Godsmack songs so I had to get an Under Your Scars margarita because tequila. :)
I was middle section second row. Great seat . Great show.
I recommend a going to a Godsmack concert to everyone who loves a good band and a good time.
Flogging Molly were great as always.
High energy, lots of audience participation with clapping , singing and Dave dancing an Irish jig during Tobacco Island!
Our first time seeing the Rumjacks who were good too. We’ll be checking them out again for sure!
Jewel was awesome! She far exceeded anything I could have hoped for in a show. I was so full of emotion that i didn’t have enough tissue! Can’t wait to see her again! The venue was perfect too! Thank you for the great night! Definitely one for the books!
Amazing voice, but a bit of a lackluster show. Audience participation is great, but when they try to out, sing the main performer there is a problem. Unless you are a true fan of Idina’s you did not get the entire show. Many people in the audience did not know that a lot of the songs were from Broadway shows that she appeared in. Fortunately, I saw quite a few people leave during the show and not come back. I love that she acknowledged the audience but the conversations get a little long very quickly, and it takes away from the show and the music.
Concert was great as always!
Love the music, love the band, love the crowd.
Didn’t like that at Yaamava, , my plastic cup didn’t fit in the drink holder. Also my seat was blocked by the half wall to go up the stairs. So you had to sit on the edge of your seat or stand to see the stage. After a while I stood for the rest of the night.
Chili Peppers rocked the house but the technical side left a lot to be desired. John Frusciante’s guitar powered by 6 Marshall stacks completely overpowered Anthony Kiedis’s vocals and the guest musician’s sax solo. The only time we had a chance of hearing Kiedis sing is on songs where the guitar was used minimally. Possibly the fault of the venue’s sound mixer or the fact that we were in row 10 and in front of the Marshalls, but the overall mix was way off the mark. Additionally, the near two seconds video latency behind audio, on the Imag screens, made watching the well cut video coverage unbearable. That video delay was reminiscent of the lip sync from their Super Bowl halftime show so we avoided looking at the massive vertical screens which flanked the stage. Again, most likely a venue issue. Band looked great and delivered a passionate, energetic and entertaining set. The Chili Peppers are as spicy as always!
Show was too short🤣 With such a collection of hits, I'd expect a 4-hour show😆
When all was sang and done (with a guest appearanceby Johnny Gil😱)... EXCEPTIONAL👍
What a great, intimate venue! A real upgrade from the "Bingo hall"... Yeah, haven't visited since all the renovations were done....
Rob Zombie was a bucket list item for me. Seeing Rob Zombie live is not just attending a concert; it's an experience in its own right. His showmanship, combined with his musical prowess, creates a spectacle that is both awe-inspiring and deeply satisfying. For fans of his music, this show is a must-see, and for those new to his work, it's an introduction like no other. I left the venue energized, inspired, and with a deeper appreciation for his artistry. The only downside was that Yaamava Theater is an indoor theater, so Rob's typical pyrotechnics were not allowed.
Event was amazing as usual. The venue was a pain in the butt traffic wise for getting to the parking structure. The venue needed more cool air to be pumped in. 311 was their typical perfection.
Always been my favorite band. There’s something about the members like Nick, SA, P-Nut, Chad, Tim, the OGs. Stuck through it. And have had hits on every album. The most important thing is the live show and it’s nothing short of Awesome! Love these guys!
These guys still got it !!! The song choices were excellent. All the harmonies were spot on !! They played almost 2 full hours and just bring it the whole night !! I would go see these guys again and again !! Capt Joe
DISAPPOINTING! - & not sure whom to blame!
Sound problems; again! (2019 in L.A. @ Wiltern was pretty good; 2017 @ Marquee - pretty good; 2016 in Portland, sound mixed sucked, could barely hear Myles).
This time the concert began with way too much volume / echo / 'mud'. About three songs in it got better; was pretty good until Isolation (could barely make-out what song it was; that I've listened to a thousand times! Same problem as first of concert -- but worse! Last couple of songs almost as difficult to hear; 'muddy' sound.) Why does the soundcheck not get this correct?
High points: "Sin after Sin" (glad we got it), & "Burn it Down" (Mark's vocal prowess has become extra impressive); "Blackbird." (both Myles & Mark's solos (during this one and others where sound system 'presented' them in clear fashion). Oh, & yes, my wife and I both wore professional ear protection -- thank God!
MammothWVH, on the other hand, had superb sound (volume & clarity). And, WOW, did Wolf & his guys "BRING IT." Especially love the new tune (& video), "Another Celebration..."!
Are we witnessing the "changing of the Guard"? -- Alter Bridge fading; MammothWVH rising(?).
[note: Slash & the Conspirators - featuring Myles, produced GREAT sound / clarity / passion! - have hit every tour, at least once, since 2013. NEVER a disappointing show!]
I always enjoy her performing, her energy is always turnt all the way up! Thank you for making this six hour drive worth it! Also, thank you having merch! -Until next time!

Duran Duran puts on a fantastic show. They have been my favorite band since the early '80s when I was a "tween". I even carved their original "DD" logo in the new concrete in the patio at my parents' home (they've lived there since 1980 and it's still there to this day)! I couldn't afford to see them as a teenager, but when I was several years into my "grown-up" career I was fortunate enough to see them perform at The Barrymore on Broadway in NYC (11/2007) for their "Red Carpet Massacre" tour (VIP, front row, John Taylor's side - love love love him and have had a huuuuuge crush on him since the early '80s!) I saw them on the last night of their "Future Past" US tour at the Hollywood Bowl (09/11/2022), which was another fantastic show with a spectacular finale ("Rio", "choreographed" to a fireworks show). Last night's show (11/02/2022) at Yaamava' Theatre was also wonderful. They are in they're 60's and can still rock the house! No lip syncing here. No "air guitar". All real and truly genuine. I want everyone to know that those who may have thought in the '80s these "pretty boys" with their fanatic following would be a trend that would pass ("The Fab Five" they were dubbed) were completely wrong. These men have outlasted years beyond all other pretty boy one-hit wonders...decades, actually, and still look pretty damn sexy. Rock on, Duran Duran, and don't ever stop!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Great venue, love the technology that is in place. It ensures a great show for all.
The biggest and really only downside to this venue is the horrible location of the merch/tee shirt vendor. If Yaamava' would find an appropriate location for ticket holders to buy merch that would be great. Not only was the location shitty but the vendor was understaffed with a really cranky female. This is the second show I've attended at Yaamava' and I really don't understand why they have the vendor in such a shitty area.
