Just before lockdown, I started listening to Kirsten's music (her dad was a huge influence on me as a guitarist).
Since Covid, she's played various gigs mainly in her native Scotland or the southern part of England.
Thankfully, me and my wife went to see Kirsten at The Cluny supporting Juanita Stein. She was playing a very informal gig as a duo with her guitarist, John.
We had a great night and spoke to Kirsten after her set. She is a lovely person and even better, she is returning to The Cluny later in the year, headlining with her full band.
Definitely recommend going to see her for her Americana material.
Her versions of Big Country songs are a joy to hear as well

The Cluny was a great venue for Victor Ray returning to the city he grew up in. He was so good. His songwriting is clever and soulful delivered really well because he really can sing. Go see him.
Excellent as always 👌but with a Cubano twist !!!
Heartworms spun a brilliant web of goth theatrics, taut melodic darkwave, and even a little spokenword. She drew on silence daringly, noise thrillingly, and her poetic sensibility made me feel like we'd journeyed with her in some dark and wonderous worlds. Quite exhilarating over all.
Great concert enjoyed by everyone there including Aynsley and the band!
Great show! Came across as a lush group of lads and massively talented. Would recommend seeing them to anyone with ears.
Absolutely stellar night, as always from Ally and Danny. Plus Torus were a cracking support.
Another excellent show from China Crisis, great set with songs from the albums and of course the hits
Amazing finally getting to see Emily live! What a talented individual! If you get the chance, go to a show!
Well worth the 32 year wait! Why did I leave it so long? I've never been in a crowd with such incredible interaction! The band were visibly moved by the party Newcastle put on for them, helped very much by the intimate nature of the venue. Superb performance!
Amazing, great night, not the first time I've seen him and hopefully not the last.
Saturday was my third time seeing John Bramwell , he has been excellent on every occasion and Saturday June the 8th in the Cluny was no Exception, had a good bit of banter with the audience , some really nice moments of audience participation and singalongs , supported by Dave Fiddler who's own set was also very impressive , we thoroughly enjoyed the evening and are looking forward to seeing John again later in the year .
The greatest night of my life, I will never forget. Robert, Christie and the band were sensational! I will be coming to Glasgow to see you live again!
Absolutely amazing performance and a must band to see.
Great venue gets you super close to the stage.
Absolutely phenomenal! The Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band in the World. Perfect! The very best night of the year.
bellie marten is incredible and always delivers
Let’s Eat Grandma are my favourite band named after a punctuation joke! The Norwich-based duo Jenny Hollingworth and Rosa Walton make up Let's Eat Grandma, a psych-pop band that offers balms for the soul in the form of bubblegum pop.
LEG hit the stage tonight at the Cluny for an incredibly intimate tour of their latest album, 'Two Ribbons.' The album is an eccentric culmination of synth-driven pop sounds explored on their prior album, ‘I'm All Ears’ but this time with more organic instrumentation—the result is a culmination of classic and modern elements with a timeless pop sound.
The duo played many new tracks like 'Give Me A Reason,' 'I Really Want To Stay At Your House,' 'Levitation' and 'Watching You Go.' As well as plenty of my favourites like 'Hot Pink,' 'Falling Into Me' and 'Deep Six Textbook.'
My favourite moment was when LEG ended the show with their classic hit, 'Donnie Darko,' Jenny jumped to the floor and actually posed for me–I've never been THAT to an artist before, it was so cool!
Overall, it was an absolutely spectacular night, the energy was electric and confirmed my love for Let's Eat Grandma tenfold!
Absolutely FABULOUS, and what a nice guy. Troy and Finn took time to talk to there fans and very approachable. The music said it all, fantastic sound and filled the stage. I for one can not wait to see these guys again. Try and catch them on tour with DARE who really put on a show, what a great GREAT Friday night had by everyone there.
