this was one of the most enjoyable evenings we have spent since moving to santa fe! no, not one of...it was THE most enjoyable! the venue is unique and acoustically amazing. and beautiful. the entabl0 behind the 'stage' is the most beautiful backdrop for wonderful music. susan werner was a complete surprise and gift! a friend from iowa suggested we see her, and trusting his opinion, i immediately bought tix. she is such a smart songwriter - most of the music was very topical and humorous - in a cole porter/victor borge kind of way. her voice, however, seals the deal here. incredible range and beautiful placement and sound! her encore of 'la vie en rose' was the most stunning and personal rendition i have ever heard. it was so great to also find out that san miguel chapel hosts many musical act of all kinds! we will certainly be back. and hopefully, susan werner will be, as well.

We’ve seen performances by David Berkeley before, but this was our first time seeing him with his British band mate in Son of Town Hall. We were treated to the same poetry and musicality we have enjoyed in Berkeley’s other performances plus an additional dose of story-telling and humor. The music ranged from upbeat and hand-clapping to sensitive and tender. It was a wonderful performance in the beautiful San Miguel Chapel. Son of Town Hall are masterful entertainers. We look forward to the next performance!
