She was fabulous. The venue was small and intimate, but still had room for about 6 couples to dance. Emily talked to the audience and told funny stories (her 2 yo, trying a new shampoo, etc.). Had she played longer, we would have stayed. We weren't ready for the show to end.

This performance was a surprise -- a very nice one! The Rosie Flores I expected to see, the captivatingly raw rockabilly singer, guitarist, and bandleader, now fronting a jazz trio (actually quartet minus one player) and singing American standards with soulful voice evoking the very lyric imagery for which the songs are treasured. I recommend this Rosie highly and look forward to all Rosies there may be!
