The show was almost excellent, but I expected to see more of the Headliner Kenny and hear some of his songs from his albums. After all it was his show. He should cut one or 2 of the other performers and give more time to his performance. He only played about 40 minutes (at most) out of a 3 hour show. Oakdales sound is a bit muddied when there is a big band or multible singers, it was that way 20 years ago and still is. I am glad I went but one or 2 performers less, and more Kenny, who I really went to see, could have made it a much better show.. Eric Johnson and Zack Wylde were good at what the do but not really needed.
Saw the Experience Hendrix show last night. It started out great with Ally Venable lighting it up with "Fire" and "Angel" and playing lead on a couple she didn't sing. Zakk Wylde followed that with an electrifying 2 song set that included a walk deep into the audience. At that point the show was super high energy with a ton of momentum. Then Eric Johnson came out and slammed the brakes on it with a boring and long 4 song set ending with a lackluster cover of "Spanish Castle Magic". Marcus King managed a pretty good cover of "Hey Joe" along with with a few okay covers and Kenny Wayne Shepherd was solid, but the show never got its energy or momentum back. When Kenny started with "Voodoo Chile" we headed for the door to beat the traffic. Kenny always plays "Voodoo Chile" so there wasn't likely to be anything new there. They really should have had Ally, then Zakk close the show. Kudos to Ally especially, she showed she can rock with the best and completely own the stage!
In my nearly 40 years of going to many, many concerts this Turnpike Troubadours show was probably one of the greatest shows I've seen. The band just hammered out doing after song and was as tight as could be. We drove a couple 9f hours to see them and it was well worth it. I'd drive twice as far to see them again.
It was a great show. I love it when Daughtry headlines cuz it means we get to hear more great songs! The new stuff is heavier and more like tile OG Daughtry.. it was an early Christmas gift getting to see them and I feel better today than I did yesterday because of that show. 👊🏻🤘🏻
Both a fan of Brothers Osborne and Jackson Dean, but if I’m being honest, I went to this show because I NEEDED to see Jackson. Although he was amazing (as were Brothers Osborne), as an opener it was way too much of a tease for me. His voice is unreal as is his musical talent in general. So, so happy I went to this show but I need more! There will definitely be many more shows in my future!
Attending the Casting Crowns concert alone on my birthday was an experience almost beyond words. Traveling from out of town to see them perform felt like a pilgrimage to a place more uplifting than church. The atmosphere was electric, and the music resonated with me deeply. This concert was not just a performance; it was a truly Godly experience that I would recommend to anyone and everyone wanting to get real!
He played for 2.5 hours and was amazing all the way through. He’s a feel-good performer with incredible talent. Played a few covers which were awesome. He is very engaged with the audience thus his showmanship further enhances the great music and crazy-great guitar playing experience. Gave away a signed copy of Frampton Comes Alive. Loved every minute of this show! Highly recommend!
I accidentally wandered in and never heard of this band before. It was too loud and there was this crazy leprechaun wearing a funny yellow hat blowing paprika dust into everybody's dang eyeballs! Luckily, the security man named Dougie Doozer gave me free tissues to plug my bleeding ears and nose. But then he smoked something and teamed up with that dang leprechaun and chased me down the street and beat me with pool balls. They made me eat pinecones but then they said they felt bad and gave me healing plants that made the walls melt and the posters came to life, there were a bunch of dang rascals dressed as cats scampering around my house like a pack of roustabouts! That was a scary musical it gave me dysentery and typhus!
Godsmack was amazing as always but the venue was not my scene. I drove 2 hrs to catch the end of the tour. I had pit passes and some group of men thought it was a good idea to crowd surf and I got kicked in the head. Security was right in front of me and when I asked him for help he just stood there looking at me. It got so rowdy I left 3 songs in. So 2 concert tickets and a 2 hour drive all went to waste. Toyota Oakland Theater in CT was not safe. Very disappointed that I didn’t get to see my favorite band.
The concert was amazing. Last time they were scheduled, I wanted to go to this concert but I was undergoing lung cancer treatment. I am now cancer free, and because they rescheduled this concert I was able to go and enjoy it with my loving daughter who nursed me back to health during that time. We both had a beautiful time, amazing seats.
I did not go to Buddy Guy's Show recently at the Toyota Oakdale Theater. However, I did go to Toad's Place about 25 or 30 years ago and I saw him and also about 12 years ago I saw him in Torrington Connecticut. He is fantastic! There is no one else like him! Many years ago the great Eric Clapton said he is the best that there is! He plays effortlessly.
It was my first time seeing BVB, I thought the put on a really good show, only criticism is that they only played a1 hour set. As a headliner, I feel like they should be able to perform 75 to 90 minute set. They aren't a new band, they have plenty enough material to give their fans a little more!
Last night's concert was amazing! The energy from the crowd and the band was electric. I loved the setlist and the way the musicians interacted with the audience. Overall, I would rate the concert 5 out of 5 stars. It was a truly unforgettable experience that I would love to relive again and again.
Great music! Definitely got your moneys worth. Played for at least 3 hours! Made his show very personal with a tribute to his mom which brought tears to my eyes! A genuine down to earth musician that loved pleasing his fans! I would have loved to hear more Stones, Doors , Beach Boys, Stepping Wolf etc…. But that’s me!
Jeff Pitchell also played, fabulous guitar player! Could see his heart & soul coming out of his guitar!!
Great ending with guitar duel Pitchell/Zannella (some crazy shit for sure, someone has to remember his name… 🤣)
Bought a shirt, had Pitchell sign it. Was sorry no one else was available for signatures!! I would have love to have Uptown Horns & of course DizzyFish & members sign! 😢 ( maybe I can mail it to the band & have it signed? I would LOVE ❤️ that)
Overall a fantastic night!!
Buy your tickets & go see this concert, you won’t be disappointed!
The queen Ella mai is of course the best love it. Second time seeing her perform. Definitely, a come back! However, to be some type of age restriction because minor in front of us were loading about how they usually have access to alcohol. And people were overall disrespectful. People were knocking into me, verbally fighting and overall being Connecticut people. That I am used to, however there’s a time and place especially when it comes to any time of performer that we sent money on. 4 out of 5 star, only because of the fans
Ari is that girl! Keeping real music and R&B alive. She is so underrated and she sounded amazing in concert and glad I saw her on the A/S/L tour. She surprised us with some favs from her prior album within the set as well. I’d go to another one of her shows, and recommend her on tour.
Venue had lots of parking. The crowd was a good mix of everyone and all ages.
The Event was amazing, All of the bands in the event made the experience incredible, the audience sang along with the bands during the event, making it a memorable event . Merchandise Vendors were available at the event , also there is food, snacks and beverages available also at this venue, staff were helpful, and respectful during the event .
A full five stars for this amazing concert and tour! Motionless in white and ice nine kills absolutely killed it and stole the show. These are two bands I hope tour again. It was just mine blowing amazing. I can’t say enough good things about it. Definitely one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. And that’s talking more than at least 40 concerts that I’ve been too. so glad they did this tour, and I’m really hoping they do it again! #WELCOMETOHORRORWOOD #YOUREMINEMOTHERFUCKER !!!
Absolutely love all of these bands and seeing them all live was like a dream comes true... When I could see them. To no fault of the venue or bands was unfortunately sitting directly behind two guys that were standing the whole show and were too tall to see past. I wish the seating had had a deeper recess between rows so I could've seen better, but the show itself was incredible and I'll see every one of these bands any time they are back in town again.
concert was awesome. Couple of things though...the drum and bass was overpowering most of the night, to the point that they almost drowned out the vocal. second is the surprise of a cashless lobby as far as refreshments and show souvenirs. not everyone depends on credit cards to run their life, but communicating that fact would be beneficial. also, during my online ticket purchase, I was not made aware that it would require a cell phone to present the ticket. Better communication all around would be an improvement.
