I saw John Lodge and his band in my little community of Nashville, Indiana. He came to the Brown County Music Center. An A+ venue!
It was a great evening, and a great musical experience to see a musical legend like John Lodge. And to see and hear him perform what is arguably the preeminent Classic Rock album, was a bucket list experience.
Loved the show John! The band sounded great!
Keep Rockin’!
Absolutely amazing. I have been waiting since they won the Voice, to have a chance to see them. I was front row and lived every moment.
My parents are both gone, so I understand the will it takes to overcome emotion to sing the song, One More Christmas. I love the way they
Put all into it, I cried, for them and all who have lost a parent. Awesome job. I will continue to watch them through the years and most definitely will see them again. God Bless them❤️
❤️❄️Brown County Center. This was one phenomenal performance. Kenny I am so proud of you. I love you and what a beautiful presence you left for the fans and staff as they commented on a great night- they were praising how amazing you and your team are and the phenomenal performance delivered!! WOW - you all continue to amaze the world! Nothing compares my guy - forever in love - always by your side !! What a performance!!! “G” greatness !! Your commitment and dedication is undeniable as the emotions of your melodies always leave me In tears of how in awe I am of you💕
Sadly, it appears the set was abbreviated considerably as Ms. Jones was battling a severe cold. Earlier dates on this tour seemed to have as many as twice the songs. A piano was setup on stage, but never used.
But, for what she did perform, it was excellent and it was a pleasure to hear her perform live. I'm glad to say that her voice still sounds like it did on Pirates and Magazine. Many performers from my younger years can't say that (though she doesn't quite go back THAT far). Her accompanying percussionist/xylophonist (is that the word?) was awesome.
Bottom line . . . sad for the abbreviated set, but I prefer that to having her cancel. I'd go see her again if the opportunity arises. Hope she's quickly on the mend.
The event was very well organized. The venue is perfect, don't think there is a bad seat in the whole place. Chicago was amazing, the band is great the music is great and the 3 original members are still performing very well. Robert Lamm can still carry the vocals and the horns are wonderful to listen to!! Would go again in a minute! I rate the entire show a 10!! Wonderful!!
Beth was the best I’ve ever seen in this performance. She was full of energy, seemed to have stepped up the tempo of her show, and truly rocked the audience! Considering the venue is located in pretty much a Bible belt, the entire audience was engaged and welcomed her with open arms and open mouths! My first time at this venue and I must say, the Brown County Music Center, which is a nonprofit and gives their profits back to the community, was acoustically amazing, well organized, comfortable, and in short, a perfect place for a intimate evening with Beth Hart. This is the only way she should be heard.
Daily and Vincent are absolutely phenomenal musicians!
The entire band is fantastic; Absolutely top shelf musicians.
You may not like this song They're singing right now, But you'll most likely like the next one because the variety is on such a wide spectrum from bluegrass to country to patriotic to acapella to fully instrumental music. You will not be disappointed with one of their concerts.
I had sworn off going to concerts because they crank the bass up so loud I cannot hear the vocals. The professionals on the sound board always make them stand out vocally and harmonically. By the way , if you ever wanted To meet the most down to earth, Appreciative musicians Just wait in line and Meet these two amazing gentlemen Jamie and Darrin are incredible And in touch with their fan base.
In the age of bloated, has-been rock stars who are exploiting nostalgia for the sake of a glorified cash grab, Tom Keifer is a breath of fresh air. He is the consummate blues man, aging like a fine wine. The voice is still there, as is the musicianship. I first saw Cinderella in 1986, and I feel like I was transported back to that night, seeing Tom and his band perform. He played all the hits with the fury of a musician fighting for his very soul. In a world that is hard-pressed to provide joy, for a blessed two hours I was 15 again, experiencing an emotional release through the only true unifier - music. For some it’s a needle, some it’s a pill, but like Tom, for me it’s rock and roll.
Wonderful show in a Wonderful venue. I saw Tom Keifer last year at an outdoor venue where there was very little if any seating and while the show was good standing on a rock lot got tiresome...because Tom is doing so well I believe he is getting better venues! Go see these legends while you can. I wish Tom much continued success!!!
What a blast in FRONT ROW with my sister! He is an amazing rock star! So energetic and engaging. Keep on living the dream Rick! Seeing him again at Rivers casino this Friday - can't wait! Hope you and your band keep entertaining the fans for years to come!
Robert Cray was fabulous! I don’t know why the site only gives 4.5 stars as highest score. He and band were a 5+ stars. Robert’s voice is just as I remembered from concerts long ago but his guitar licks had improved significantly. It was all about tone and beauty in his guitar playing with no shredding. Wow! I would go see Robert over and over again!
Jo Dee started her concert at 8:05 PM and from the first note, we knew we were in for a treat. She and her tight band started off with some newer songs I wasn't totally familiar with. But then the hits like "I'm Alright", My Give a Dam's Busted", "Heads Carolina Tails California" , "Burn", just kept coming and Jo Dee loves for the crowd to sing her songs back to her. This was fine with me and everyone in the audience, especially the ladies! When she did "Lessons in Leaving" the ladies took over and Jo Dee loved it!
it was a great show. So glad I was able to finally see her in concert because I don't remember her playing this close to Louisville in several years. Hope she comes back!!
If this is the last time they come to Brown County, they left us with an incredible memory. They have been singing together for 50 years and yet the show was a solid 2 hours. They sounded as great as ever. The venue itself was very nice. However, management of traffic in the parking lot was dreadful. They did not plot out enough handicapped parking spaces for what they should have known would be an older crowd. The Oaks have come to Nashville since the mid 70's. I have been to most of those shows and have watched their audience age into their 60's, 70's, and 80's. This venue should have known that and prepared accordingly. They also did not have enough parking for those who had not pre-paid. The attendants did not seem to know where to send people. The show was delayed about 10 minutes because of that. Then there are the purse size restrictions, which are ridiculous and discriminatory. I don't have to leave anything in the car but my wife and mother had to? Nonsense. Thankfully my 75 year old mother who has significant health challenges did not have an issue as she had to leave all of her medications in the car. My wife, daughter, and I are coming for another concert in December. After that, we will not be back.
Awesome show! The young lady that warmed up for him, Zandi Holup was very good as well, but the sound guys appeared unconcerned about how overmodulated she was—maybe they were aiming for distortion, if so—mission accomplished.
Steve, on the other hand was great! Very entertaining, played some of my faves and of course copperhead road, which my wife loves, but he has LOTS of music that’s way better. My Old Friend the Blues, Billy Austin, Jonathan’s Song, among others. If Steve ventures near here again, we are so there dude!
The show was fantastic -- best live performance we've seen here in years. I'd never been to this particular venue before. It's wonderful. Great sight lines, a rather intimate setting, really good sound. It's a gem in Indiana. It was a genuine thrill to see both Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe. Absolutely loved it!
I wanted so bad for this to be a great concert. Most of the attendees did not get out of their seats for most of the show. So many songs they could have played, and they did not. Too much newer stuff. Might be best for them to stick to opening for other acts. I know they have their (cult) followers. I get that, those were the ones on their feet most of the show.
I would go to that same concert a million times over because it was so good! Also, JD Clayton and his band were so nice! I would go see them again in concert too. Highly recommended show for anyone. And don't forget, "Every kiss begins with J." ♥♥♥
The show was awesome, as usual, as Jakob Dylan is one outstanding performer, and has a great band. They did a lot of their old stuff. Didn't do my two favorites: Sleepwalker and Confessions of a Drunken Marionette, but the show more than made up for it. Not one, but two encores. The venue was really nice, but sat in a row where people kept getting up and coming back. There were a couple that that is all they did all night. That was the only bad part of the night. I though people went to see a concert, went to sit and enjoy the show. These people were there to drink and pee. I thought that is what bars were for. Loved the show, but not impressed with the venue.
First, Brown County Music Center is a great venue. Excellent sound and good views of the stage. Graham did a great job covering his music. He added Beatle music, covered 2 Stills songs, at least one Young song. Very good band accompanying him on keyboards and guitar plus vocals.
The Mavericks are an amazing 9-piece rockin' band. Great show! Man, that voice!
Wish Lizzy had been a backup voice. Wish they'd have played more songs from the En Espanol album. Please show bits of the La Sitiera video while playing it.
Sound was a bit off (echoey) -- may be the acoustics of the venue. Wish everyone would keep their masks on. Very pleasant and welcoming staff at the venue.
Overall, would do this again -- many times.
