It was my first RJTW Concert… and I got “Wrecked!” What a fantastic show. These guys are phenomenal musicians and have great stage chemistry. Every song rocked and they didn’t disappoint. Great songs, great solos and great vibes. What I really respected was the time they all took with fans afterwards to talk, take pictures and sign merchandise. Great, Great time! They are an underrated Band who are on the Rise!
Best show yet. This band is so tight. Hard to believe that they are getting better and better every time I see them. The Lyric Theater is just the nicest coziest venue. Terrific acoustics. I look forward to seeing them again next year at the Lyric Theater.
They never let me down. Saw the original Band in 1970 and I started following the weight when they were project percolater with Jim weilder. The newest additions are exceptional but Brian Mitchell has my love. He feels the music. I noticed last night he got more recognition from the audience than ever before. See you next year if we are around!!
I drove over from St. Pete for the show and it was well worth it. I've been hoping to catch JP live for decades. The show lived up to all my expectations musically, and John's humor and storytelling brought it to the next level. It's such a treat to be an audience for players who perform their craft with such passion.
Marcia Ball is the absolute best. 1:45 of nonstop hot music. No more than ten seconds between songs.
As tight of a band as you will ever hear. Very arm and cordial meet and greet afterwards. Simply amazing!!
From my first Outlaws concert (with Molly Hatchet) 1979 Binghamton when I was a freshman at Cornell to my most recent show Dec 2024, the band has never disappointed. I was on a wait list for the sold-out show at the Lyric and scored a ticket around noon that day. I would have been happy seated anywhere in the historic theatre, but I was shocked to land third row center! The music was awesome, but after following these guys for 45 years, watching the talent up close like that was incredibly special!
Fun Squared! We always try to see BBVD when they come anywhere near our city. Saw them last night at the Lyric Theater in Stuart (1 hr.+ away). As always they put on a great show. Exceptional musicians. Please keep coming to Central Florida.
Acoustic Alchemy always put on a great show. Top notch musicianship, and masterfully written songs. These guys love what they’re doing, and it shows. I’m always inspired when watching them play. A must see for anyone who appreciates world class music.
Albert’s band was kickass as usual Vos sang to songs with him . She was great and thank god she looks like her mother🤣 seriously though whoever was mixing the sound at the lyric theater certainly didn’t do Albert and his band any justice. Therefore the 4 stars.
First time at Lyric Theater. What a wonderful warm intimate venue. I would go back anytime I can. The Weight Band is just getting better and better as the years go on. The Band would be proud and happy for their success.
Can’t wait for their next show. Hopefully back at The Lyric.
I love seeing The Weight Band. When I saw they were in Stewart I was very happy since I live here but I’ve been following them for years everywhere from New York State Catskills, Sussex County, New Jersey. I believe I saw them at Woodstock and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Boca Raton and wineries in New York State too. There is good as ever and it’s always nice to see the members.
This band is like fine wine ... it keeps getting better with age!!!!! Everyone in this packed house was fully engaged in their songs, harmonies, stories, vocals, antics, showmanship, etc., etc! Loved every minute of this concert!
Love Eric Gales. He brings me joy. I see him every chance I get. Even with a cold his show at the Lyric in Stuart was great. He gives his all every time.
Eric Gales was amazing! He played through not feeling well and didn't miss a beat. Seeing him at the Lyric, a small community theater, was amazing. I hope he keeps his promise to come back. He may be the GOAT!
What a great show! We loved it. Two hours worth of uninterrupted music. It couldn’t have been better. If you haven’t seen Marcia Ball live and in person, you’re really missing the best!
Loved his music and storytelling. He broke a string about half way through his set, and gracefully recovered. One of the best opening acts I’ve seen in recent years!! Looking forward to a chance to see him again!!
Great performance in the small, but intimate Lyric Theater. The building itself is old, but well maintained. It has all that you need to enjoy yourself, and staff is friendly. It is the perfect place to see real musicians and bands who know how to ply their trade in a very intimate setting. Eric Johnson and his band are masters in their trade. Eric Johnson needs no explanation- he is a superb guitarist, pianist, and writer. Roscoe Beck is the super power, turbo diesel that drives the band. He and Wayne Salzeman add an absolute thunderous rythm section that allows EJ to float over the top of their bottom end. Dave Scher is the unfortunate man that has to play guitar with Eric Johnson. He is a super talent and fits in beautifully not only with EJ, but the rest of the band. Dave can not only add the little nuances under the guitar, but can also step out and shine while Eric Johnson takes a break on piano. There is something for everyone in their set. They began with an acoustic set, with Eric and Roscoe. They slowly worked in the rest of the band and began to ramp things up. After a short intermission from the acoustic session, it was time to light the lamps. Rock, blues, jazz, to bluegrass and everything in between. Afterwards, there was no meet and greet but because of the Lyric's size, you were bound to run into band members on the sidewalk. Super nice and acommedating to the fans. Couldn't ask for a better show!
AWESOME show at The Lyric Theater last night
Selwyn Birchwood put on a KILLER show!!
It was our seventh time seeing him and we were blown away by the energy on the stage!!
Ricky and the guys played their hearts out! They were phenomenal !
Great little venue, but the staff (aka cell phone police )there is abrasive and more concerned about what people are doing with their phones than anything else. 🙄
They were all incredible just as I had known they would be. Growing up in Nashville in the 60's and 70's, I remember when Ricky Skaggs came on the music scene. He and all his guys are such talented musicians.
