Great to see Elliot back on the East Coast.
Band was in fine form.
Amy Helm sat in for harmonies on a few songs.
This was a fantastic evening of great music in superb sound - some of the best I have ever experienced at a concert. The band (Colin Linden, David Mansfield and Dennis Crouch) are a group of all-star musicians, and the interactions among them showed they were clearly having a great time playing in such a superb group and setting). T Bone’s told many great stories, and made comments which greatly illuminated many of the songs played. This was a supremely generous act of great musicianship in a small-scale venue, and the set performed lasted nearly 3 hours - covering T Bone’s latest album (The Other Side) performed complete (T Bone even indicating “end of Side A” and “end of side B”), followed by a short break and then a set of highlights from T Bone’s catalog through the years, along with covers of songs by a few of his favorite songwriters (Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, Bobby Neuwirth). T Bone’s comments about so many having passed and being missed were touching, and his social and political comments much appreciated.
At the start, he stated that he “hates those fling phones”, and requested no photos, video, or other use of phones - wanting an “evening of close listening” and deep communication - which was the result, for sure. If you have a chance to catch this show, DO NOT MISS IT!!
It was such a beautiful and intimate show. Rachel, unbelievably talented and with her unique sound, absolutely captivated the room. She was warm, funny, engaging, and stunningly beautiful. Levon Helm Studio is such a magical space to experience music, and it was such a perfect setting, being my first time at the studio and also my first experience seeing Rachel perform. I can't wait to do it again.
What a show! This band is the real deal. They need to come play in Worcester ma! Fourth time seeing this band in 2024
A great show at a great venue. It was really nice to watch an artist that was truly enjoying performing for a small but enthusiastic crowd at an amazing historical location.
Great space, great vibe, great musicians. Bridget St John (my age) a bridge to the past and a lovely singer. Sam Amidon was the reason we came and he was generous and played very well with the others. He can hold a stage solo, no problem, but he's fun to hear playing off others. His music is based in folk, but he takes it to a new level. We got an honest set, but wished for more. But, that's a good concert, right?
Bucket list show for me, to see my favorite band at an intimate venue with a great sound. The sax/keys player Shiela Gonzalez was a wonderful addition to the lineup. Set list was great the sit ins with Graham were great. Tim & Greg sounded and played great 10/10 wished they come around more often.
This truly was a remarkable night of music with Glen Phillips, who performed along with Shawn Mullins & a special appearance by Amber Rubarth. All are exceptionally gifted songwriters, skilled musicians & compassionate individuals, whose diverse song collections & vivid storytelling made for a very entertaining & engaging concert. This was my first visit to Levon Helm Studios & I was genuinely so impressed with this unique & intimate venue & its courteous & stellar staff. It was the ideal setting & provided the perfect backdrop to complement the songs & stories of the evening. Thank you Glen, Shawn & Amber for a most memorable & enjoyable show & for sharing your tunes & talents with us.
Loved it! Great venue. Super chill crowd and Todd was an epic rocker with some great stories for the small crowd. Amazing!
Beyond incredible. Really felt like a clear message of the importance of love, enjoyment, and appreciation was transmitted. Beautiful peoples playing beautiful music in a beautiful space ❤️
Great show! Great venue! As good a show as I've ever seen and heard Amy and her band perform. Perhaps the best show ever. The band and the audience were really into it.
Midnight Ramble is always a great time, but we went to see our favorite.. Arleigh from Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds. They were incredible as always, got to hear some stripped down favorites and some excellent new songs. If you haven’t seen Arleigh or Sister Sparrow live yet, change that ASAP!!
Levon’s home brings out the best in every artist, DBT was no exception. With a few rarely played selections and some help from Lydia Loveless the band was clearly feeling the space. Paterson’s stories about meeting and playing with Levon have some verbal history to why we were all there and feeling special.
Incredible!! Brought the house down as per usual with some excellent new songs as well as a great mix of the classics. Night full of singing and dancing, couldn’t be happier to have been able to rock out with Sister Sparrow and the DBs again!!
Nicole was breathtaking as always, and her opening act Levi is my number one new artist to watch —the best new talent I’ve heard in ages.
This was my 9th time seeing JR, they never sounded better. Levon Helm Studios is a bucket list venue. Seeing a personal favorite in that setting is unforgettable.
Unreal harmonies and pure power from Neko and the band. Records can not do their voices justice and it was truly a show to remember!
Patty Griffin and her band were fantastic. She sang songs from her new album as well as fan favorites! Her voice is so magical. It my first time at Levon Helm Studios and it’s was a small and intimate setting - maybe about 200 people. I had standing room only tickets and I could see everything. The only negative was that the Studio/Barn was very hot upstairs.
