Tommy Emmanuel was awesome. His impromptu duets with Stanley Jordan were unforgettable. I'm so thankful that we got to see him before he headed out west, then off to Europe.
It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen, no bull. I have been to a bunch of concerts over the years, including his 10 years ago, and this was one of the best.. Chris was phenomenal. Interacted with the crowd, and his voice was amazing.
First time I’ve seen Richie Kotzen, if you haven’t been to one of his concerts, you definitely need to attend!! He is by far one of the best guitarist I’ve heard, up their with Joe Bonamassa, Joe Santorini and Steve Vai, just my opinion 👍
Awesome show including the opening bands. Sound was sharp and clear. Didn’t play my favorite, Fooled Again, but that’s how it goes when you have so many to choose. Recommend everyone to get out and see him live.
I learned about Jake Shimabukuro through Jimmy Buffett. When the opportunity to see Jake in concert came, I jumped on it. I had seen some YouTube videos and was impressed with what he could do with a ukulele. His concert was absolutely amazing! He is a musician's musician. The covers he played were fun and hearing ZZ Top on a ukulele is an experience everyone should get the chance to enjoy. However, his originals are beyond description. His music moves you. It's fun, it's contemplative, it is an experience. I strongly recommend that people go see this man in concert.
He did an impromptu meet before the show and a meet and greet after the show. For all the talent this man has and the bragging rights he has earned, he is a humble person. He is very down-to-earth with his fans and grateful for his fans. Jake Shimabukuro has definitely earned a new lifelong fan.
Maddie and Tae were wonderful, as we expected. The Beacon Theatre is a smaller venue than many we see today. It was a great place to see live acts "up close" and the staff were very friendly.
Maddie and Tae have been on my must-see concert list ever since I was introduced to their music in 2016. So many awesome songs & energy by Maddie & Tae kept the theater rocking. My only critique was the bass was so loud, it was sometimes hard to hear them...but a fantastic concert anyway.!
It was an amazing show!!! The band and Madie and Tae put on an amazing hour and half show. Anna was great and enjoyed her coming out to sing with Madie and Tae. The Beacon is the best acoustic venue in the local Richmond area.
One of the best bands you will see! Marty does a great job of showcasing each member Plus collectively the are unbelievable Do yourself a favor and get out there to see them.
Went to the afternoon show and was surprised by an opening act (The Old Dominion Barn Dance) that lasted almost twice as long as the main act I'd paid to see. One hour would've been OK - I support local talent. But 1 hr. 45 min. was far too self-indulgent and a disservice to the paying audience.
With that said, Skaggs is an icon, a giant of bluegrass, and it was an honor to see him and his great band play.
Mandy Barnett, as the headliner last night at Old Dominion Barn Dance, was fantastic!! She has such a natural gift for performing! Donna Meade, vocalist and hostess at ODBD, sure does know how to produce a great show!! All of the cast and other guests were very entertaining!
KORE ROZZIK WAS FANTASTIC . THE ENERGY WAS OFF THE CHAIN AND THE BAND MADE EVERY VIP FEEL LIKE A VIP! A MEMORABLE NIGHT AND I AM NOW A KORE ROZZIK FAN FOR LIFE !
Had a blast. Got the VIP package and great seats for the show. The band killed it and are some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. So generous to all the fans. Looking forward to new music and more shows. Beacon Theatre is a great little venue. A pretty easy hour and half drive from Fredericksburg. All the staff I interacted with were so friendly.
Great show. Suzanne Vega always pleases her audience. Jerry was amazing as always too. The Beacon Theater in Hopewell is a really nice antique small venue from the old days. Good sound. Good vibe. Had a nice day looking around Hopewell and Petersburg. Thanks Suzanne. See you next time <3 DrRudy
It has been a long time since we have been to a show that we enjoyed as much as we did Chapel Hart. They are a talented group of young women and would go see them again in a hart beat!!
Great show! Love when she talks with the audience showing us she is just ones of us. She can sing and play several instruments. She is very entertaining.
Night Ranger put on a great show, playing all their hit songs and a few by other artists that they like. Great interaction with the crowd and the Beacon theater is a great venue with free parking. Very enjoyable night.
Big Yachtley Crew fan here !! Thanks for coming all the way to the East Coast again. Smooth sailing here at the Beacon in the balcony !! ⚓
Always a great worship experience. This was the first concert that my younger boys attended. They both look forward to more. So grateful not only for the music but for the transparency of the artists in their walk with God.
I initially went to this concert hoping to hear old standards, but they played a lot of their new stuff, including tracks from the yet-to-be-released, "Shines Like Gold". I left with a new appreciation of this group and hope to hear more from them, as well as see them play live again.
