What a great show ! Really enjoyed Jon Smith's Voyages , super unique ! Will be seeing more of them.
As for Lez Zeppelin, I've been going to concerts since 1974. Literally been to hundreds and hundreds of shows.
LZ was ABSOLUTELY the hardest ROCKING show that I've ever seen. The music and performance was spot on , the soundtrack of my youth. Will definitely be seeing them again and spreading the word.
The venue itself also knocked it out the park ; great sound, seats , people , beer etc.
Thanks !

The Suitcase Junket is a true artist, writer and mudician. Creative, funny, innovative, surprising, joyous, touching. He creates a memorable experience for those lucky and smart enough to have purchased a ticket. Don't miss a chance to go see him live!
They sound better and tighter every time I see them. Amazing show with a great mix of songs. Anne Harris playing fiddle was an amazing talent, who seemed to gel so good with the band. She seemed to genuinely enjoy playing with them, and the entire band appears to love what they do, which is nice to see! World Cafe Live is a nice venue, with great sound. They went out of their way to reserve seats for my wife and I, she is disabled and can not stand for a long show like this. Only complaint I have is that people just stand In front of the handicapped seating, which is no fault of the venue.
The Philly Evergreen concert was great. I enjoyed it immensely with a number of my family. Bermuda Search Party has great songs, performed by great musicians, who have great chemistry on stage and in their videos, and also have a great connection with their audience. I would wish them luck in their future creative activities, but I believe luck has nothing to do with it; they are simply the best. I hope that growing numbers of people are exposed to their music and enjoy the ride.
McDermott is the best singer/songwriter on the planet, no doubt in my mind there. And his live performances with embedded storytelling are incredible. See him ASAP! The venue is cool, very intimate. Not fun to get to from Berks County on a Friday night but that's Philly. The beer menu is good, the food menu a bit lacking in my humble opinion, but that's me - you can make up your own mind on that.
I was so happy to attend a live concert with them! I have been a fan since their tracks on Book of Life and have followed them since. The concert was vibrant and full of so much joy that you just couldn't stand still and had to dance along with the music. I know it was an amazing concert because a friend went with me and he didn't know them and he left loving the music and having a great time too. I can't wit to go to a future concert again!!
Jessica was perfect. @ was an unexpected hit. The only problem was with the venue.
Halfway through @‘s set, the house lights went on. They remained on for the rest of their set, and it was overall jarring, and you could tell the band was disappointed. They still went on to play an amazing set, but the energy was definitely not as focused.
Then, between sets, it seemed like the lighting board went haywire. Lights were strobing, the projectors cycling between different images. This lasted about 45 minutes between sets, and people were
I've been listening to FBM for about 2 years now, so I couldn't wait to see them live. And they did not disappoint. From their amazing vocals and heartfelt songs to the incredibly talented drummer, they rocked it!!! And they played my favorite songs (No Choice and Different Lives). I love how authentic and down to earth they are. You can tell how much they love what they do, and how grateful they are for us fans!! I highly recommend seeing them in concert, and look forward to seeing them again when they come back to Philly. Hands down one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Keep doing what you're doing Fly By Midnight!!!
First time I saw Hannah she was 17 years old. What a wonderful feeling it is watching her gain, more songwriting, knowledge, and spreading her wings with her new music! Last nights show was phenomenal from start to finish !!!!!
Lily and Madeleine are the best singers, and the best people. I really enjoyed the show; the intonation of their harmonies are as good as you'll ever see live, and I really enjoyed the live arrangements of their latest album "Nite Swim." It was one of the most enjoyable evenings of music I've had in a long time.
This was the second time I’ve seen them (first was when they opened for Samia) and they were amazing the first time, but they’ve somehow gotten even better live since then! Great show and great crowd. This is one of my favorite bands and I’ll be sure to see them whenever they’re in Philly!
Such a great evening! I came to hear Jess Ray (did not know Chris Renzema’s music) and fell in love with Chris’s music as well! Could not get over how great both sounded live and found my new favorite place to get away and hear some great music!! Everyone was so friendly and we enjoyed a great meal before the show. Hope Chris and Jess come back soon!!!
Sadly, I have issues with one of my legs and didn't know if I dare stand for the entire time of the show. Therefore I did not attend (heavy sigh). Having seen Alice twice before I'm sure it must have been great. That's why I gave 5 stars despite not being there. I am very happy to see her playing larger venues and this was a sellout! She's in the States more often now so maybe next time.
The band is phenomenal! Comprised of four amazingly accomplished musicians, AEG seamlessly meshes their talents to entertain and uplift its audience. Their energy is unparalleled! Adam Ezra, to me, is a poet as much as a musician. His compositions can be poignant and soulful, yet he doesn’t appear to take himself too seriously on stage. He connects with his audience in meaningful ways and takes them along for the ride.
Tickets to an AEG show are always reasonably priced. We saw this show on 4/26/2023, at the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia. The venue is a nice place to see a concert. The food and service was good. The drinks don’t skimp on the alcohol.
I have seen Josh live many times at World Cafe and last night was no disappointment. It was just him, his 2 guitars, various harmonicas and a friend on drums. He played 21, count them, 21 tunes. Luckily he played "Sad Eyes" amongst many of his other gems. I finally got to meet him after the gig and get my vinyl copy of "Nashville" signed. He couldn't have been more humble or accommodating.
Thanks for the music Josh and here's to another 20 years of stopping by the World Cafe to share your talent.
Great show! Kris Allen opened with an awesome set. It was my first time seeing Kris and I enjoyed his music. Jon played a couple newer songs and music from his album Indiana. I’m a new fan and liked hearing this album. WCL’s Music Hall is a fantastic place for a show!
Amazing venue and amazing choices to have Matt Pless and Shayfer James to open. All 3 performers interacted wonderfully with the audiences and really made it a night to remember. And Will Wood especially, the show was everything I had hoped for and more
The Pineapple Thief at World Cafe Live was an excellent show. They played songs from throughout their career, and sounded great. The band was really tight, and the sound was perfect. The band is made up of great musicians, especially Gavin Harrison, and Bruce Soord's voice has never been better.
The show was FANTASTIC!!! This band is phenomenal every time I see them! My friend Lady Alma NEVER disappoints :)! What a perfect match! She can control her crowd with her talent, charm, and golden pipes! I will be a forever fan of both acts, I loved that DJ mark Francis was there but I wish folks stayed to hear him :( The venue is great, very clean. Thanks for a great time!
shawn barker IS johnny cash. his voice and stage presence are excellent and he really commanded the room! the band and “carter sisters” are funtastic and skilled and a great support. the story telling and history of mr. cash was totally fun and made for a memorable and heartfelt show; the best we’ve seen. highly recommend!
