I saw Tyler back in 2019 as a support act for John Prine. He stood on stage with a guitar, at the Palais in St Kilda,
and broke my heart with his Kentucky twang. If Hillbilly is your thang and you want clever lyrics wrapped in foot stompin' music here is your jam. Now backed by a 7 piece band and clever staging there wasn't a disappointed punter in the sold-out Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Highlight was still a small acoustic set in the middle with TC on stage alone with his sixstring hammer and chisel attacking my heart again.
Brilliant show 2 hours of the best gig I've ever been to. If you missed them make sure you don't if they're back in the future and the Myer Music Bowl is the perfect venue
Love them to bits but the energy was low and they felt a bit disconnected to the crowd. I was wondering if this was just so much touring really burning them out.
LOVED IT!!! Venue had so much room as it was outdoors, very spacious and you could get up close to the railing even if you have general lawn admission, good food options from coffee to souvlaki, merch was accessible but the line was kind of awkward because it cut through a pathway but they made us keep the path clear (the line stopped before the path, then continued on the other side) which caused a lot of incidents of people being confused where to join the line .
The main entrance was pretty easy to find because theres only one entrance and both lines lead to the same one so it doesn't matter where you join. However they made the whole line move to another place which caused some people to lose their spot so be aware of whos in front and behind you so you dont lose your place.
The visibility of the stage was really good, everyone could see the stage at some point if standing, and lights weren't too aggressive but i would recommend earplugs if you have sensitive ears because it does get quite loud (mitty loves getting us to scream in between songs)
Loved the band so much, chase atlantic is my forever fave band, the visuals were so captivating and their stage presence was unmatched
the openers 24kgolden and xavier mane were good too, i didn't really know or like them at first but xavier did really good for someone not really known by many and his songs were good, i loved when 24k played guitar and sang a really good song it was very intimate and nice
overall would definitely recommend going to a chase atlantic concert because the vibes truly pull you into the experience and the venue was good too which made this an even better event. would definitely go again when C5 comes out (they said they will keep on making music so maybe in 2025 or 2026)
he was amazing and hearing abstract (psychopomp) and all my faves was LIFE CHANGING but the venue was awful. i lost my friend and couldn’t find them until after the concert, it was squishy and overstimulating (not in a good concert mosh way) and overall terrible if you’re on the lawn, and if you’re not at the barricade or taller than 5’4. makes me want to never attend any other functions if it involves the sidney myer music bowl, which actually sucks bc i feel like i’m missing out :(
Absolutely AWESOME!!! Jimmy and Mossy can still sing a good tune. The whole band were great. And two encores well that was just the Cherry on topof such a fabulous night!
Wasn’t a huge fan of Cold Chisel before going on Friday night but it would have to be one of the best concerts I have ever attended … would definitely go again and again and again ❤️🎤🎼
Fifty years on the songs still stand up and are played with energy.
Great to see a band actually perform totally live without the safety of miming, vocal backing tapes and other musical fraud many other artists adopt these days to cheat their fans.
Hozier himself was incredible. However It's clear the chosen venue was too small to properly accomodate the amount of demand, and for some bizarre reason the security made me cloak my camera with a vague explanation of "promoter rules". Very dissappointing.
Hozier was brilliant though, engaging and authentic. Playing a few songs up by the lawn was a very nice touch. Would definitely see him again (as long as i can get first release tickets and not resale ones for double the price like this time)
Just wow, they aren't in my sweet spot for music (metal core) but I was in Australia and I recalled hearing a couple songs from them so I said what the hell. Jesus talk about a choreographed show. I was blown away, so good. Sydney Myers music bowl is a venue you should not miss, no matter who is playing if you're visiting Melbourne.
I've been to lots of concerts! Some really great and memorable gigs, EotS will have to be one of the best I've seen, ever. The production is amazing! The sound phenomenal. Having Ian Ball playing guitar and contributing his genius is astounding. I want to go again, and again!
A very wet stormy night but we braved it to be awed by this magnificent artist. The rain stopped halfway through and as we were on the lawn, got soaked, but thoroughly enjoyed it.
Amy is just amazing.
Great show by Amy, heaps if energy & played good mix of her songs, connected with the crowd & her support acts played some good music also, went home soggy due to the weather but fantastic night overall.
Amy performed very professionally. She has moved on from the sport pants and jeans to a really would class outfit and show. She shared stories with the crowd and did a cover of BEP too.
Had the time of my life, so good to finally see them live after all these years. Impressed by the way they changed set list for every show and paid homage to their full repertoire of albums
What a great venue to hear TWOD and their wall of psychedelic rock explosion. A beautiful vibe filled the air as the crowd inhaled Adam Granduciel’s licks backed by the power of his six incredible band mates. A flawless exploration of their story to date.
I loved how my friends and I could walk down the slope and get closer to Daniel/the stage, because there was plenty of space on the side of the crowd. The freedom to walk around with the lawn tickets is really nice.....we stood high up for some songs to see the broader view of the city skyline and the stage, then went down closer for more intimate parts. Beautiful landscape for a concert!!
Lorde has such an energy around her. I love the energy and passion she brought to the stage.
I don't typically listen to her music often but even the songs I didn't know were a performance and beautiful to behold.
The concert was amazing, best one I've ever attended, 5sos where incredible as usual and in my eyes it was definitely worth the 3 year wait, can't wait to go to more 5sos concerts, they are my favourite band ever and always will be.
The venue was also really good I like the lawn space and how it slopes down so people have a good view no matter where they are positioned.
Unforgettable. Archie's voice is the great Australian voice, it goes straight to your heart, so tender and amazingly strong given his struggle to breathe. Everyone - audience, members of the MSO, ushers and all staff - felt blessed and privileged to be in his presence. Yes, sounds like a religious experience and it was. Archie Roach keeps on giving even when it seems there's no more to give. Whenever he sings or even introduces his songs, Archie shares his love, suffering and wisdom and is a true force for reconciliation. It was good to hear him recognise that he has become a deeply respected elder for all of us, not solely for Indigenous Australians.
Thank you to Paul Grabovsky, Sally Dastey and the MSO who, as Archie said, took his music to " a higher realm".
Jamu Dreaming was sensational - the earth spirits were jumping for joy.
