Absolutely fab as always. Great venue, candles just added to it, great singer, always entertaining. Loved Jerub the support act, would go and see him again. Brilliant evening x
Venue and artist were amazing! Struggled to get tickets but managed it in the end! Lovely intimate venue at Birmingham Town Hall and Tom Walker didn’t disappoint! Was absolutely brilliant!
Also his support act Jerub was also fabulous! Brilliant concert!,
I went to the show with my sister on Monday in Birmingham.
It was so inspiring and exciting to hear Karine live at last having been a fan since introduced through my sisters partner who is part of an Aphasia choir that sing a couple of her recorded songs my favourite being Rise Up.
The other singers and band were wonderful too.
Fabulous!
Town Hall Birmingham is a really good venue, we had seats three rows from the front of the circle and enjoyed a perfect view of the show.
Support act Soulutions were fantastic, a great sound and nice energy.
Change oh my ! Fabulous performance and they took us right back to our dancing days in Faces and Peppermint place in the early 80s.
Great crowd, great tunes and a great atmosphere.
Everyone was up dancing, couldn’t have asked for a better night out.
The Penguin Cafe Orchestra lived up to expectations! A delightful evening which I left with a smile on my face and in my heart.
The Town hall is a lovely venue, beautifully restored. As with all theatres, not enough room to get my legs comfortable though.
As expected, another fantastic show from Walter having seen him last year at the Town Hall too. He’s probably one the few understand Rock
and Blues guitarists but should be up there amongst the greats. Just brilliant.
Brilliant, a night to remember!
Fanna Fi Allah take mystic art of Qawali to new heights. Watched them live twice now and each time came away rejuvenated. MAC outdoor amphitheatre was a unique experience though.
The Shires came on stage with big smiles. Ben and Chrissy delivered a beautiful set and had the Town Hall enthralled. Been with these guys for over a decade and the acoustic tour showed off the quality of their voices and their song writing. Joyous and life affirming.
No photos as we had to put our phones in a plastic bag but this made the gig better. There was no distractions from people trying to video or take pictures during the performance.
Kelly was superb and as always put on a brilliant performance. The set was short but we knew that at the time of booking but the quality of the set list was great with a mix of the new solo album played in full and a couple of other solo songs and also some Stereophonics tracks. I wish I had got tickets for all three Birmingham shows as I never get tired of watching this man's talent.
Kelly is an incredible artist. He managed to create an intimate show in which he presented his latest album and played some of the classics that have captivated many of us. Sublime musician, lyricist and singer. Awesome!!!
My second time seeing Justin. He is such a talented musician and singer. He writes beautiful songs and he and his band perform them faultlessly. His music is timeless and he his so humble , despite being hugely talented. I also love the way he punctuates the songs with anecdotes from his amazing past. A thoroughly entertaining evening!
Not the first time I've seen Rod and Gab perform but it was the first time I'd met them. What lovely, down to earth people.
The gig which is promoting the most recent album release was fantastic. They truly are a talented couple of musicians.
I've seen Lissie a number of times in the UK. She never fails to impress and gave a fabulous performance as ever. I must say, although Birmingham is my home town, I'm not a fan of the Town Hall as a venue. I felt the all seating arrangement sucked the atmosphere out of the audience.
That said, if Lissie returns to this venue I will still go.
Cat C easily the best of the 3 acts on the bill. Great songs sung from the soul. First time I'd seen her live and she oozes that indefinable star quality. Definitely a 5 star performance - I only wish it had been for more songs than a 2nd-on-the-bill slot normally receives.
Amazing concert. Lissie was on top form singing songs from her new album and some classics. This was my first Lissie concert and it will not be my last. Easily one of the best live performers I have seen. She sounds just as good as the produced tracks and the band all sounded great. Venue is also really cool!
What an amazing night.
Kate and the band were brilliant in every aspect.
It was my first Kate Rusby gig and definitely not the last. Thank you Kate and crew for bringing Christmas joy and opening up a whole new musical world of Christmas music.
Great programme of music. Having been to see Show of Hands a number of times, they never fail to excel. Even if you’ve heard a song before there’s always a way in which they can perform it. They never fail to hit the mark. Over 2 hrs of top class music. Brilliant
Emeli stripped back just to vocals and a piano, singing as if she was playing for just you at home. Sound was quality so you could here every pronounced word and key hammered at the piano. Set list was a mix with odd track off new album and a mix from our version of events slowed down acoustic style. The vocals on clown, read all about it heaven and breathing under water really make you think about the subject matter. We could have sat there all night listening but sadly the performance was only about 1hr 20 mins this felt a bit short compared to some shows, however a solo artist playing piano and vocals for this time must be a strain on them. Emeli is one of those artist that tells you all about what’s going on with life, family and reasoning behind the songs which makes a change from artists that you see and feel are just there for the show and don’t even speak to audience. The simple but oh so effective 16 tube lights set in semi-circle on stage and 4 flood light units worked amazing without blinding the audience, but setting an atmospheric ambience just right.
This venue is amazing and im lucky enough to have seen Emeli at the royal Albert hall with special guests , Sadler’s wells theatre London with a gospel choir. She never fails to amaze me by doing something different and Birmingham town hall was a great choice.
If Emeli ever fancies another great venue i would be up for her playing with an orchestra at the royal opera house Covent Garden London.
Great venue and loved the show. Lighting was a little dark but Vance sang beautifully and the band were brilliant...my only disappointment was this was my first show seeing him... Wanted to her Guiding Light but it wasn't on his set list. Need to see him again so hope he has further tours planned
Great show. First time I've seen Melissa Etheridge since a small gig in a cellar bar in London (The 12 Bar Club?) Following the release of'Brave and Crazy'. Hasn't changed a bit.
