Loved the band but seriously wtf is going with audiences now - if you want to stand around like a stone or worse chat to your mates whilst the band are playing - do everyone a favour and sod off to the back or the seating area - there is such a thing as gig etiquette and it would be great if some people would follow it!
We had a fantastic time going to Livingston sound check and the show on the 27th Jan 2025 the vunue was easy to find and I was able to pre book a driveway to park as no parking near the venue . The staff at the very was so good and made the event easy to navigate and they were kind and safely came first and we were from row abd security was handing out water (so kind ) the show was fantastic Livingston is the kindest and he answered every question and we were all glued at his performance and it felt as he was singing like we were the only person in the room . I saw him in June 2024 and he just keeps getting better .
Beautiful show, have been a fan of this guy for a while (as my friend got me into him). I loved the album and a lot of his other songs and was very happy to see him perform, he even waved and said goodbye to me and my friend at the end (when we had to leave early from his outside, accapella performance after*).
I wish he didn't tease the beat drop to JAPANEESE WHISKEY (I think it was) but other than that, he was a really good performer and I'd love to see him again, love Ruel ONERUEL <3 :)
*He did this at every show that sold out :)
No support act. Doors open at 7pm and he wasn’t on until 8.30. We would have gone a bit later if we’d known as there was a fair bit of standing around. He is an amazingly talented guitarist and has a beautiful voice. I loved the acoustic section the most. He worked so hard the band all had a rest in the acoustic section but he played every number.
Great venue with good atmosphere and not too big. 3 fantastic bands and the first band greeted us on exit. The Struts were fantastic. Husband recommended them and they were superb. Lead singer is reminiscent of Freddie Mercury in the way he interacted with the audience but all members of the bands were brilliant musicians. The songs were catchy and rocky but the band encouraged audience participation so that made it such an amazing night. Can't wait to see them again.
My first ever concert and it was amazing. I hope to see them again when I can. The venue was great to handle so many people as well.
The only thing I would say is the organisation of letting people in. It was stated to start at 6 but actually started at 7 so waiting for that long was unexpected.
But overall it was a great show and would recommend going to a show if you can.
Thank you Good Kid for coming to this First Rate Town.
Olivia was great. It was an excellent performance.
However, the sound quality at the O2 Institute was awful! We started off about 5 rows from the front. The sound was distorted and congested, and with too much/too thick bass. I could hardly hear the words. After a while we moved to the rear of the hall. It was better, but still not great. I think the mixing desk engineers would hear the sound at its best, but the audience in the middle to the front of the hall would be faced with the poor sound. I wonder therefore whether the engineers have ever listened to a concert standing further forward to understand just how bad it is.
As it is, I wouldn't rush back to the O2 Institute for another concert. It's lovely to be able to get so close to the musicians, but the poor sound means it's not worth it.
Jordan Davis was amazing. He's such a talented artist. Listening to him talk about his music and where he has the inspiration for some of his songs was lovely.
However, unfortunately the over-riding memory is going to be how bad the venue was. The event was sold out, so I expected there to be a lot of people but this was something else. The amount of people that were let in could only be described as unsafe. We were right at the back, and in front of us was packed in, there was nowhere to move. More and more people kept trying to get in. In the end, people stood outside in the corridor. I've been at standing gigs before, but nothing has ever been this bad.
Next time Jordan Davis comes to the UK, I hope he plays bigger venues, he could definitely sell enough tickets to. I hope he does, because I'd love to see him again, I just will never be going back to the o2 Institute.
Ashley brought the house down! Amazing vocals and entertainment. The way she conveys her love for the music and fans is out of this world!
The venue is ok if you're prepared to queue early to get a seat on the balcony. If not then you're pretty screwed if you're standing up on the balcony there's no way of seeing anything!
Kip and his band NEVER fail to deliver. They played for 2 hours and gave their all… I cannot say a bad word about the band… they were fantastic.
The venue is a different matter though… poorly organised. Nowhere did it say what time doors open and what time gig actually starts ( like most other venues do). There were 3 different queues and nowhere to say what THEY were for or which queue you needed to join. The sound at the venue wasn’t great to be honest and I suspect that might actually be the venue itself having sound problems. Something in their favour though… Security was brilliant at handing out plastic cups of water regularly for those standing as it was so warm.
Apart from the dodgy sound though it was still a brilliant night. Kip, Manny, Dave, Erich, Will, and Hank were on fire. If you haven’t ever seen Kip and the Slowhearts play live do yourself a favour and GO.
Wow, what a show! Hard to describe the excitement and energy that Delilah and Edgey bring to the stage. I stood at the front with a Cheshire cat grin and it was absolutely brilliant. The level of musicianship and that beautiful voice are at another level. Counting the days until I can see them again.
Having never heard of GAWD before seeing them as the opening act for Duckwrth, I was blown away by their talent. The two women are absolutely phenomenal, from their vocals, stage presence and personalities - they have all the tools to be stars. I look forward to seeing more from this duo and would highly recommend taking the chance to watch them live if you get the chance too!
omg the best time of my life the process was so smooth she had two amazing supporting acts and she engaged with the audience sm. her voice is incredible and i was able to scream my lungs out and feel connected to the people around me. i queued for a total of 6 hours and it was worth every second cant wait to hopefully see her live again some day
this was such a magical night. to be honest, it still feels so goddamn surreal that i actually saw this incredible woman live. the supporting acts (band of silver & witch fever) were fucking amazing too.
the merch was so different compared to the american tour, and the fact that they created a totally new set of merch for just six dates shows such a huge amount of hard work she and her team are willing to go through to make her fans have a good time.
i was actually late (i needed to be there at 18:50 to get seats) however the security team were so good with my family and i, and we got seats immediately.
in short, this was one of the best times of my life and i cannot say anything bad about this experience.
thank you poppy and i cannot wait to see you again (and hopefully ACTUALLY meet u this time, without the m&gs having to be cancelled) on your next tour
I GUESS THE PEOPLE WHO HAD BOOKED AN EXPENSIVE 'MEET AND GREET,' ( I WAS NOT ONE OF THEM), WHO WERE KEPT WAITING OUTSIDE FOR OVER AN HOUR, WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IMPRESSED BY THE WAY THEY WERE TREATED. AS FOR MYSELF, ( I WAS ON THE BALCONY) WHERE THE BENCH TYPE SEATING WAS VERY HARD ON THE BUM AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS. QUITE UNCOMFORTABLE! LARKIN POE WERE VERY GOOD THROUGHOUT, PLAYING A VERY ENERGETIC SET. REBECCA IS A FINE FRONTSWOMAN FOR THE BAND, SLICK AND CONFIDENT, REALLY GREAT VOCALS AND A FINE GUITARIST. I THINK, AFTER SEEING THEM IN A BAND FORMAT THOUGH, I MIGHT PREFER TO SEE THEM PLAYING ACCOUSTIC, AS I FELT THAT MEGANS GREAT WORK ON THE SLIDE GETS A BIT LOST IN THE BAND SOUND. MY ONLY REAL RESERVATION ABOUT THEIR PERFORMANCE WAS THAT THEY PLAYED MOSTLY ROCK AND VERY LITTLE STRAIGHT BLUES. THEY DID PLAY 'PREACHIN' BLUES' WHICH IS MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE OF THEIR TRACKS. LESS ROCK AND MORE BLUES, PLEASE GIRLS! TO CONCLUDE, A BRILLIANT BAND, AND WORTH THE TWO YEAR WAIT. I SHOULD ALSO MENTION THE SUPPORT, RYAN McMULLAN, WHO DID WELL WITH THE SHORT TIME HE WAS ALLOWED. A GOOD SINGER WITH GOOD SONGS.
Incredible to hear foxes live and her energy was infectious to say the least. I’m a very socially awkward infact this is only the 3rd concert I’ve been to alone but I was jumping around having a great time by myself which is quite unlike me so I think that says a lot about the presence she has on stage, I just lost myself in the music
My first concert where I went on my own and it was one the best experiences of my life. Rina really knows how to work a crowd and it's certainly not a time I'm going to forget. If you get a chance to see her you won't regret it.
Also shout out to the opening acts Hana and Ama, they were great and certainly got a new fan out of me and many others in the crowd
Didn't really know this band before the show but absolutely loved them and haven't stopped listening since. Music was awesome, stage show was awesome and I'm so glad I managed to get a picture with Nero at the end (thank you😊). Enjoyed them just as much as the main band, which is saying something as they are my all time favourites. Definitely looking out for them again...
This concert was the best thing that has ever happened to me, I've never been so happy in my whole entire life. Bear is absolutely insane onstage, his sass, the vocals, his stage presence, everything about him. His band was absolutely amazing and he was so greatful for everyone that came and the people on his team. Gabriel black, the opening act, absolutely amazing. I paid alot for the meet and greet but it was worth every penny. I WOULD KILL TO GO AGAIN, NEVER FELT HAPPIER!
Like the stars are saying predicting this girl is an Angel fallen from the heavens , memorising boy has she got some vocal range , I was tingling with anticipation to see her perform live , it was everything and much more than I expected , it was though everyone was hypnotised , with her voice whistles sounds etc and her interaction with the audience we were entranced HIGH on her Smile ( the band members were just as captivated they smiled to beginning to end magnificent
Stage presence all of them musicians wowza LP )
Can’t wait for more 🧡 x LH and YOB x
