The best thing about getting old is being able to see your hero’s for the low, low price of $22! I felt it was a show just for me. Incredible set list performed by the band reminiscent to a greatest hits record with special attention to some tunes off of ’In Heaven’ and ‘Wrecking Crew’. 100% pure Psycobilly. I can’t wait for their (his) return. P.P.F. delivers, as per the usual and the new backing Latinos are probably the best looking musicians Pete Paul has ever played with delivering a solid performance. On a side note… lots of adorable women out at the show last night. Way more than I can remember psychobilly shows in my past. Well done ladies. The opening acts were shit. I cringed when the front of the first band said “You guys ready to hear some Rock-a-Billy!” It only puts into perspective that Psychobilly was always pretty niche so I’ll forgive her ignorance for the band whom started a genre. Kids 🤷‍♂️!

Eel (Or Clem Snide) is a great artist of talent and tenderness. His shows, like his music, are full of soul, surprises humor and redemption. Such a pleasure to listen to him live and in colour. Highest recommendations.

These women are amazing. Talented musicians that blend story and song to create something soulful and real to all life that includes the good, bad, and ridiculous.Their voices are one when they harmonize. Great show.

About Ivy Room

vy Room is a women owned, all-inclusive venue with an audience spanning different age groups and ethnicities, and a special home for the LGBTQ+ community. Patrons come from the Bay Area and beyond to see artists from all genres of music - from roots and country to jazz, rock and hip hop. Ivy Room is a historic neighborhood bar in Albany, California that was founded in the early 1940’s. It’s beloved past owner, Dottie MacBeath, managed the Ivy in the 1990’s. Her son, Bill MacBeath booked blues, rockabilly, country, rock, and swing acts like Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys, Jim Campilongo, the Loved Ones, Deke Dickerson, and Chuck Prophet. A recurring sentiment that the music community kept telling us when we took over was how we “brought the Ivy Room back to what it was and more”.
