Perfect Venue, Great Sound Greater Artists!
Bobby put on an amazing show. Bobby songs and Dead Songs played by expert artists in a whole new way. Thank you Bobby for doing this run in the Sunshine State in December! Bravo to the Wolf Brothers & The Wolf Pack, Keepers of the Sound!
You need a thick skin if you want to listen to Jim. Nothing is out of bounds. And I love that!
Also appreciated that there was none of that locking up your phone nonsense. Broward Center is a great venue. The staff are very helpful
Johnny is GREAT as always! This is a nice venue to see him in too. The only negative was the chaotic traffic jams to get to valet parking or the parking garage. Police on scene seemed clueless as to how to properly direct the traffic. The venue knows how many tickets they’ve sold and should have set up multiple valet drop off sites instead of everyone crowded to the one drive up lane to the entrance.
The sound in the Au Rene theater is not as good as it should be. Despite having excellent seats in the left floor box, we all agreed that we had trouble hearing speech clearly. In addition, the ushers stood near us, and talked and laughed off and on throughout much of the show. It was very irritating.
We saw this show last year and it was exceptional, only lacking in that we would have liked to have heard more of Kat’s fabulous singing. This time she was phenomenal and the program showcased her amazing voice. However, we thought the show was too short; It started 20 minutes late and wasn’t quite an hour and a half. It felt like a piece or segment was missing, and we didn’t hear nearly enough from David. He was subdued and the show was mostly focused on Kat. The male singer they brought (sorry, we could never understand his name) was wonderful, and his performance of Nessun Dorma was amazing. Overall, what was presented was great. We simply wanted more.
The concert was amazing. Every member of the band brought their A game and came out, firing on all pistons. Paul Gilbert did not let anyone down as usual. Billy Sheen was amazing. Eric Martin’s voice is amazingly still good and the replacement drummer did a good job. we had a great time and we will miss Mr Big.
It was like 1971 all over again. Everyone there, all age groups, Deadheads, rock fans everyone enjoying each other and the music. People were partying like drugs were legal and nobody bothered them. There were 3 sets and 3 intermissions. Everyone was standing from the 8:00 start till the 1:15AM end of the Sugar Magnolia jam. All the songs were jams with the shortest one at least 10 minutes long. From covering Garcia’s “The Wheel”, Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” to the aforementioned “Sugar Magnolia Jam” which included, “Scarlett Begonias,” Help On The Way,” “Slipknot!,” “Franklin’s Tower,” and “Sunshine Daydream.” Then finally ending with “Brokedown Palace. A great way to end 2023 and welcome in 2024 with 2,658 close friends!
I went Friday night. Wish I had gone back! The third set on New Year’s Eve has all my favorite songs. Thanks for a real good time, Bob and friends.!
Absolutely incredible show! The outlaws played so well and rocked for two hours. I can’t even explain how good they are. We never miss a chance to see them because this kind of talent and work ethic is really hard to find!! Amazing! So much talent.
Excellent show and the vip lounge before the show was worth the extra money. All the staff was kind and I will definitely do another show their again
Such a fantastic and entertaining show! Their vocals sounded amazing, and it was wonderful to hear all of their hit songs, along with their future release. I highly recommend catching their show, as you will not be disappointed! Thanks so much, Lady A, for a great evening!!
5 piece band. Very tight. Excellent playing and vocals. 15 songs -- 10 were L&M, 1 Poco and 4 others. Jimmy's guitar work is still top notch.
Great show of veteran musicians all very talented hadn’t seen them since 70s it was as if they were jamming in my living room very up close and personal speaking with fans asking what we wanted to hear a step back to the 70s just for a while
I have followed Straight No Chaser for years, since their early days performing in Atlantic City. In Ft. Lauderdale, they were in fine form; I think they were better than ever! They’ve really kicked it up a notch. Lots of energy, there was little down time as they moved from one number to another. I love them all and their voices were strong and on point, with tight harmonies and interesting mash-ups. Jerome was great as usual: funny at the right times and serious in others. Mike’s voice never sounded better. Their choreography was stepped up and well executed. I love that they don’t take themselves too seriously and appear to be having such a great time!
The first half was great and showcased some new things, and the second half did not disappoint, adding on some of the holiday faves. A highlight was their rendition of “Creep” which was powerful and moving. “Mary Did You Know” was good as ever, and their “12 Days Of Christmas” felt fresh and was wonderful. They ended singing pure a cappella, no mikes and no percussion. Powerful and soulful. Another highlight of the evening was the introduction of their newest member, Freedom Young, who has the goods! He’s a powerhouse with his phenomenal beatboxing, laying down the percussion, and his incredible voice. Wow! In addition, he wrote an original holiday song, which the group performed and are adding to their repertoire. It was a wonderful evening. I heard the comments of others on the way out, all in agreement with me. Can’t wait for next time!
Amazing Carl Palmer bring his band to perform some of the mayor ELP tracks in different ways and solo performances that is famous too. ELP LIVES! He needs to headline once in a while, because his set list get cut badly.
Despite his age, Johnny’s voice is still flawless. Although he had at least a 30 piece orchestra, I would have enjoyed it with a simple guitar and piano. What a talent!
Unbreakable show! There are no words to explain buddy guy! He was wonderful!
They changed up the set list. Ric Marty Tom Orlando are absolutely wonderful!!!!!!
Buddy is 82 and he's as hit Everytime.
We never miss a buddy show!
This is the 4th time we've seen Jake. It seems like he's hit a good groove with his partners Nolan and Dave. There are so many more musical options now. Hopefully they're back soon.
Pure talent to the extreme! One of the best blues rock players out there! I would see him again in a heartbeat! Needs to be at a better venue.
Broward center nobody stands!
Hard Rock Live!!!!!!
Joe is one of the best in the business!
Kansas Point of no Return concert at the Au Rene Theatre in Ft . Lauderdale was awesome. Kansas founding member and drummer Phil Ehart drum performance was a classic. The other founding member Rich Williams was perfect on his guitar performance. The bands final encore of “Carry on my Wayward Son” brought the house down. Thanks Kansas for coming to Ft.Lauderdale with this mind blowing performance!!
