Hands down the best gig !! Third time seeing them and I’m already impatient to see them again .Everyone was so ready to get to spend time with this band who are without doubt fantastic musicians. Shane Greenhall is the most enigmatic and engaging front man around.Mixed bag about the venue : the sound was great, and love LaBelle as it’s a thrill for fans to get so close to a band but TDC should be playing in bigger venues when they come to Scotland IMO.
We had the best night !!!!
We all have bands and gigs we have enjoyed more than others. For me, these guys are absolutely up there. From the moment they bounce on stage, it's non stop. Totally immersed in the moment - and that's us as well as the band!
Lucky to get there early and be at the front. I love the smaller venues, but with a capacity of 600 it was WAY too small for these guys... Not the venues fault, just the guys are too big for it.
Here's to the next time Crow Family!!
Buy a ticket! You'll be singing along after the first verse and grinning from ear to ear! These three amazing musicians make Rush's music come alive each night!
Imagine being in a hall with like minded people enjoying the moment listening to the best music, fantastic.....thank you
Wrest brilliant as ever, but it never ceases to amaze me how many folks buy tickets for a gig and then stand there talking all the way through it, ended up moving twice, support band The Cheap Thrills were excellent also
It was a great show. First time for me in la belle to see the Sleaford Mods. Coming from Germany. I saw them in Germany 3 times
Fantastic show at a great venue! That evergreen band, The Men They Couldn't Hang continued their 40th anniversary tour with a typically stellar performance in Edinburgh. This is a group that never disappoints. The quality of their sound is as close to their recorded output as anyone can manage, yet they still throw in those little impromptu flourishes that only live shows can deliver.
Belting out tunes new and old (including a couple from their first album 'Night of a Thousand Candles' released in 1985) there was enthusiastic and raucous support from the sold-out audience, many of whom, including the sizeable younger contingent, seemed to know every word.
The re-built La Belle Angele, at the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, is a decent concert venue, even if they are a bit quick to close the bar (obviously unaware of the drinking capacity of a TMTCH audience and the band themselves!) to rush out gig-goers in favour of their subsequent night club attendees.
But nothing can diminish the feel-good glow after a show by The Men They Couldn't Hang. If you've never seen them, do yourself a favour and book. If you have, then you will appreciate doing it all over again. As their tour tag-line states: '40 years of rhythm, going strong' and they most certainly are...
TMTCH we're on top form, playing a range of classics and some lesser known tracks but it was a great night. Cant wait to we see them in Glasgiw in December. Brilliant!!!
The K's are most definitely one of the best bands around in the UK at the moment 🙌 Venue was really buzzing and decent size and great vibe .would recommend anyone to take a look and listen to The K's .
I introduced 4 new K's fans to the Family and they loved it .They would like to see them play in their home countries Australia and Canada 👌🔥🔥
The atmosphere of the gig was electric. The lads were energetic and knew how to get the crowd involved and everyone’s voice on stage was just superb (shout out Andrew in particular for the amazing backing vocals). Oliver Keane (support) really helped to get the night started and overall it was just a fantastic gig!
Blockheads wonderfulness as always. Musicianship par excellence! Guaranteed to leave you smiling.
And fantastic support from the incredible Sons of the Descent, pictured here...
I feel bad for artists that have recorded so much music over 30-40 years but still are more or less enslaved playing the same tracks from their first 2 albums but I was delighted.
Uforb is one of my all time faves so to hear nearly every track from that and Assassin as well as tracks from “Ultraworld” made me very happy indeed.
Anyway, I’m not complaining it was great to see the legendary Dr Alex playing some classic tunes in a lovely venue with really nice people enjoying a dance.
What can say - fantastic. When u are on small stage - its more fan expierence, more closer comunication.
Can see how some bands care about their fans and do take in consideration time wise.
Almost have listened since their first album came out. But only firat time seeing in live. Cant wait for more.
And of course DIAMOND BLACK was rocking too.
Extreme rock expierence.
The place was bouncing. 3rd time seeing WWPJ for me but first in home town. Super gig.
Awesome yet again. What a voice and such a tight band who are getting better and better.
Finally getting to see these guys! First time seeing them and they did not disappoint! Such an awesome gig! The guys were on top form, the atmosphere in the venue was 👌👌 and Briggs as the support was brilliant! The guy is so humble and brilliant chatting to fans and mingling, top guys the lot of them! Cant wait to see them again!
I remember going to the show and there was a load of ppl who were taller than me and I couldn't see. I had seen little bits of it. Then I remember going to the meet and greet and i actually got to speak to Andy!
The show was amazing good start to the dynamite tour wish I could do it again, hope they come to Edinburgh again xx
