Selwyn Birchwood is not just a fantastic blues guitarist with a rich, soulful voice, he possesses a kind and beautiful spirit that fills the room. His band is superb all around; the presence of Regi Oliver on the baritone sax gives their sound a deep, badass, swamp-funk vibe. Selwyn mixed it up with a great blend of his original compositions and some old-school covers of classics like "Come on in my kitchen." I could listen to him play the slide guitar all night long. Wonderful evening of great blues!
First time for me as a patron of Bull Run. The food was excellent, then The LRE hit the stage. What can I say about Tris & the guys but another great performance, as always! Tris always involves the audience in a little Q & A which everyone enjoys. There's always enough time to get merch & chat with everyone for the after show meet & greet. Loved this venue & I'll definitely be back. Rick...#16
Vanilla Fudge will take you back to the 60’s and keep you there for days! Always pros and never disappoint!
We love the venue, the staff and service! Look forward to their return.
Delta Generators are one of my most favorite bands. They nevah disappoint!
I’d nevah been to Bull Run. Pleasantly surprized; The Pub had a fireplace, a piano playah.
Huge room where the DG’s played. Friendly staff, delicious food & drinks.
This was my 10th David Nail show since 2021 & it was probably the best one yet! He has been my favorite solo artist for the last 16 years & he only gets better with time. I was so thrilled when I heard he was not only coming out with a Christmas EP, but also doing a Christmas tour! In my opinion, David has the best, most unique voice in country music. I can't wait to see him again & I'm so glad he always makes New England a priority!
Mike is such an incredible talent and spirit! Another spectacular concert. And love that seats are so close to the stage in Bull Run. His solo shows are my favorite. He really shines as he talks to his audience as if we’re sitting in his living room.
He creates an intimate connection that is spellbinding. Thank you Mike! You are loved.
Show was great as always. A little hiccup in the beginnig, her microphone sounded like crap. She countered while it was fixed (twice) by using her powerful voice to fill the room. She is very dynamic on stage, and is well worth attending.
Come get it- “Drummer Hadley Lloyd is a fearless improviser who is fresh on the scene, she heats up the stage like a spike of lightning.”
This new duo is like “Lightnin’ Hopkins playing with The Small Faces while Terry Gilliam films it all.” -Alan Smithee, Filmmaker
“Troy pushes the boundaries of blues with a fearless approach to composition and performance…
With Troy's stunning vocal delivery at its peak the atmospheric and engaging duo brings an incredible amount of flavor and texture that must be witnessed in person.” -MeetBoston(dot)com
Ruthie solo was such an intimate and heartfelt experience! Her story telling, her sense of humor, her masterful guitar picking on Pearl, and of course, her amazing powerful voice. Ruthie with her band was a fantastic experience, but Ruthie solo last night was magical, and touched my heart deeply.
The band was great. They get a five. Played nonstop for 90+minutes.
Sound guy on stage (Matt) gets a five as he saved the show with some quick-thinking cable switches.
Technical details get a 3. Vanessa had to change batteries on her wireless mid show. Both cables and batteries should have been checked at sound check.
Food was good but overpriced. gets a 2.
Minimum food/drink charge of $15/per person gets a 1.
Announcer (Schill) gets a 0. Kept reminding people to "take care" of their servers. Just kind of tacky.
Cheryl Wheeler was amazing as usual! We’ve been huge fans for years. This was our first time seeing Kenny and we were totally impressed. He was fantastic on his own but the combination of these two performers, interacting with each other and with the audience was a treat. Witnessing the mutual admiration and easy humor between these two, made us feel like we were all old friends together.
Great band! Fabulous musicianship and original song writing with a female vocalist that has a very bluesy powerful voice. She is the real deal. Susan Tedeschi watch out!
They are amazing and I love the Bull Run. Perfect night!! I love that they end the show in the middle of the audience with a sing along…
This was my first time seeing The Slambovian Circus of Dreams. I’m a regular customer of The Bull Run in Shirley, MA and I only learned of the band by looking at upcoming shows. I was immediately hooked after watching some YouTube videos and immediately bought A Very Unusual Head and A Box of Everything. I then convinced my wife and a couple of friends to come to the show with me. You guys really knocked it out of the park! All four of us are eagerly awaiting your next visit to our area.
Thanks for a fantastic evening from four new die-hard fans!
Incredible! Molly is an terrific singer, songwriter and most of all an amazing Guitar player. Her band is stellar with Bronwyn Keith- Hines, Dominick Leslie, Shelby Means and Kyle Tuttle. The music is energetic and the musicianship stunning- The audience loved them!!
A fantastic show! Most of the numbers were from her newest album, Crooked Tree.
The music was terrific and the food delightful. The se are all incredible musicians. My only complaint is that the sound system was overpowering and diminished the fidelity of the music, especially Molly's voice. For the encore, they all unplugged and it sounded so much better.
As always, Suzy was delightful, funny, warm, engaging and in top form musically. She can bring out the sunshine on any dreary day. Love her.
The Dark Desert Eagles Is the Greatest Eagles Tribute Band I've ever seen FUN COOL.. and A (Tequila Sunrise),,!! Was everything as expected plus more! Loved the show, very tight band ! Only wish they would’ve played longer! Real happy Robben visited! Sure hope he returns!
DB and his band were ON FIRE last night at The Bull Run in Shirley! It was a blues thing going on with the band this night, and they lit the stage up with some powerhouse playing by all concerned!! And, to put icing on the bluesy cake, Ronnie Earl joined the band for most of the night, and he played some mean licks as well. David B is simply having a great time playing, and the rest of the band is picking up that high energy and vibes and running with it. DB was smiling, laughing and just having a great time! I was so thrilled when Bromberg retuned to performing after a long hiatus learning how to make violins during the 80’s and 90’s, and into the 2000’s. He has definitely not lost a single note!!
