One of the nest shows I've ever been too. Vision Video put on an amazing performance, I can't wait to see them again! Haydee and the DJ did fantastic too. A memorable evening.
Normally I don't do reviews. In this case I'll make an exception, lets talk about the venue first. Gramps in Wynwood has to be the best place for a show of this nature. Other than the drink prices are in the "Damn I wish I made more money" category the people that work there are pretty cool and can mix a damn good drink- I recommend the Gramps Mule but go during happy hour so you don't break the bank. The place has a good vibe overall and some really tasty pizza. So A+ on the venue.
Now the main event. Wine Lips. This is a band that you want to see in a small venue like Gramps. I'm sure the band would rather be playing to hundreds of people BUT this feels like you are at a house party and your friends invited some people over to play for your party. WL played with an energy that I don't think the Miami fans expected. I've been going to rock shows for years- this was special. Loud. Boisterous. Fun. I'm so happy they made the trip all the way down here, we do not get to see too many bands like this in Miami (that kind of music is not really en vogue here) so I really appreciate them making the trip. If you don't know this band- search for their live shows. I was sold on them watching the KEXP radio show. BTW- I was in the mosh pit, I have not been in one since 1993 and I can tell you- best people/attitude in a pit. A+ to the pit and A++ to Wine Lips for bringing some joy to us who were there. Rock on!
We had so much fun and hope that they come back to Miami if they do another tour!
Best live show i have ever attended! Needs to come back to south Florida soon!
Band was live! Pit was dead! Old heads usually go hard but I was mildly disappointed
Performance was great but The audio bleed from the music outside the room at the venue, Gramps is horrible.
Gramps is a terrible venue in respect.
Blasting music from the DJ almost ruined the show.
One of the best modern thrash metal bands. Can’t go wrong with them. Joel Grind with it all, even though his vocal style has changed over time
The show was awesome! I hope Havok will come back to Miami soon.
The show was amazing. Gramps is a great venue, all the bands were killer, and Spotlights was an amazing way to end the evening!
Old skull band with a very good sound, recommend for all genre enthusiasts
One of the best Death Metal bands after the golden era. Hail Krisiun!
Beautifully intense, amazingly atmospheric, I was captivated the entire time.
Amazing venue with amazing sound for an amazing band. Cornered stole the show for the openers.
Amazing show!! TJ is just as good as ever!! I'm glad I got to see them perform live again.
Good band, seems to appeal lots of neohardcore kids for some reason.
They open for crowbar and were better. Very talented band with a lot of future
I had an ass, but it was kicked my Crowbar.
I FREAKING LOVED IT! The venue was nice and it was a fun night. Will come to this venue again.
