Killswitch was great. The first 2 bands were great. Kublai khan.....pretty basic. One of the 2 least entertaining bands I've ever seen in 30 years of concerts. The lead singer was likely the love child of Everlast and Fred Durst. Just not my thing I guess.
Brought my 8yr old for his first FFAK concert. He was so excited and thrilled. He loved the setlist, the venue and the whole experience. Seeing Tuck spinning his bass live was also a highlight for him.
The venue was interesting. It's a renovated old era theatre. The wallpaper, lights and decorations were contrasted with metal music.
Great music fantastic band but far too much stupid talk of God and prayers. Kinda stupid in that regard. Stick to the music that is what I pay for not the bands thoughts on ridiculous god, religion and praying. Totally lame. Brent Cobb was amazing, absolutely incredible solo show. All round great music but stupid invasive talk.
Band was great. Good show. Great interaction with the crowd. Venue wasn’t great. From the second balcony you couldn’t hear the words clearly when anyone was talking or singing, so it was frustrating to try and figure out what was going on. Also the video feed on the TV’s was slightly behind what was going on on the stage.
You are a beautiful soul, Tenille. So many connect with your lyrics and you have a great stage presence. Thank you for an amazing show!
It was a fantastic show as always from the opening act to the very end. Highly recommend seeing them if you have not had the chance.
Unbelievable show, her Voice is Beautiful, she is so talented. She is truly an entertainer. Thank you Chantal for coming HOME. It feels like home to me for sure. ❤️❤️❤️
Personally, my friend & I attended for Gary Numan - we weren't familiar with Ministry. Gary delivered! Absolutely mesmerizing - a true rock star through & through! We knew it was Gary's birthday, and like others we occasionally blurted out birthday wishes throughout his set. To make the night even more special was when crew and other band members stopped the show and presented Gary with a birthday cake and the entire room sang Gary Happy Birthday! As this impromptu moment wrapped up, the entire place shouted out "Gary, Gary, Gary..." in unison. Truly a rock & roll event that will go down as a lifelong musical moment & memory for the rest of our days! Super special.
Opener Front Line Assembly gained two new fans in us. They really rocked the place with their hard edged, beat pounding numbers - and the audience obviously ate it up with constant applause, dancing and shouts of praise & appreciation. We did stay for a couple of tunes from Ministry who were obviously very tight, but for my friend were just too loud... I thought decibel limitations were in place in the music industry?? The decibel levels reminded me of Motley Crue's Dr. Feelgood Tour that left me with ringing ears for 3 weeks and some mild-ish permanent hearing damage... so I left with my friend... I was a bit disappointed but I gave in and we continued on our way into the night. But we had seen our man...our headliner, and that was Gary! Happy birthday, man! Truly a night to remember. 🥳🥳
The best live performance I've ever experienced. Hypnotising. Godfathers of djent for a reason. Props to the lighting guy. He was as good as the band itself
Jinjer was amazing glad a went to go see them, such an amazing show, was almost beside the stage, I was also glad to meet them at the meet and great definitely worth the wait, was first In line outside. Couldn’t be any better.
Love how interactive they were with the crowd. Showed that they really cared about being here and real appreciation for the fans and their crew. I’m really excited to continue following them in the years to come.
Tyler is a great performer!!!! It was my first time seeing him and it was amazing tickets are affordable and it’s worth the money. My mom saw him with Florida Georgia line and she said this time was better! Wish when he was doing handouts that it would’ve been the second balcony as well but over all it was great!!
BEST DAY EVER!!! Was amazing to finally meet my hero’s, venue was a little smaller than I thought it would be but the staff and bands were amazing. Got proposed to after the show! A concert I’ll now never forget! BVB ARMY FOR LIFE
Honestly it was overall a bad experience the bands played great but the venue screwed over us
They didn’t take the seats away so the mosh pit was like only five feet wide and very small
Bands did great venue did horrible
Amanda hasn’t lost a step. Great vocals & energy on the stage. Well worth the 22 year wait. I can’t wait til she comes back to Winnipeg. The venue is very intimate but the seats in the balcony are torture devices. Very little leg room if you’re of average size or bigger.
Exodus was a great opener.
Anthrax was an amazing end, such high energy.
Unfortunately we had to sit through ~80 minutes of the terrible Black Label Society between the two. What a clown show they were.
Burton Cummings was amazing. Playing for 2 hours straight and all his old songs brought back so many memories. His band was also amazing. Doing a concert on his 75th Birthday in his hometown was awesome and he never forgot where he grew up and still thinks as Winnipeg as his home.
It's everything and more that we expected. Burton did not take a break for the 2.25 hrs he was out there. We have seen various older artists come through Winnipeg and their sound had degraded but not Burton's.
A very entertaining and enthusiastic night. So glad he picked Winnipeg to spend his 75 birthday!
I saw them for the first time and they definitely exceeded my expectations!
Holiday themed with some classics in between. It was a perfect blend. I would definitely see them again.
Amazing show, the openers were great and then Peach Pit came on and blew me away! They organized their set list really well and their stage presence was unbelievable (especially Chris and Neil who are probably move around the stage more than anyone else I’ve seen). It was also cool to see them incorporate a violin, harmonica, and slide guitar into several of their songs, and the double encore was a real treat. Also managed to talk to Neil after the show and get some pics with him after calling his name from the other side of the fence behind the stage which was super cool of him. Overall a spectacular experience!
