Doom metal giants Pallbearer delivered an unforgettable performance at Max Watt’s, proving once again why they’re one of the most compelling bands in the genre. From the moment they took the stage, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation, and as soon as the first crushing chords rang out, the crowd was completely captivated.
Their sound was massive—dense, melancholic, yet beautifully melodic. Each song felt like an emotional journey, with Brett Campbell’s soaring vocals cutting through the weight of the sludgy riffs. The band’s tight musicianship and immersive stage presence made for a hypnotic experience, with the audience hanging onto every note.
Standout moments included their performance of “Signals” which sent waves of energy through the room, and the sheer intensity of their closing track, leaving the crowd in awe. The balance between heaviness and melody was masterful, a testament to their ability to create music that is both devastating and deeply moving.
Overall, Pallbearer delivered a spellbinding set at Max Watt’s—one that left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to be there. A truly outstanding live experience.
Doom Metal Forever 🤘🏼
They were absolutely fantastic and what a great venue to see them at Max Watts is not huge by any stretch of the imagination but the atmosphere was incredible.
You wouldn't think Within Temptation had been touring all over the world recently as their performance was fresh, vibrant and it could have been the start of the tour not near the end,l reckon they played about 17 songs and they were a great cross section of their career, obviously they couldn't play every single one of the crowd favourites as they would be playing for hours and hours.
I can guarantee if you ever get the chance to see them you will not be disappointed.
Cheers Tony
Never would I have thought I’d get to see Within Temptation and even less so at a venue as “intimate” as Max Watt's House of Music but, lo and behold, I feel like it was the greatest blessing ever!
Some might say I missed out by not being on the floor but being upstairs I was afforded an incredible and uninterrupted view of the stage and certainly have no complaints.
Staff and security need also be commended for handling a full house that essentially descended upon them en masse in an area of the city that isn't particularly suited for a snaking queue.
The show was amazing. They even played a few of their older songs, I was so happy they even played Angel's.
the opening act was also amazing. I will definitely give suldusk a listen.
Amazing performance, The Aristocrats are in another league of super musicians! Extra respect to them for going on despite the visible discomfort caused by the venue's air con leaking non stop directly on Guthrie Govan... That was hard to watch! 5 stars for the band, 1 for the venue.
The only thing that would have made their set better was if it never ended. Keen to see them in Aus again
I have my son to thank for introducing me to Half Alive. Was such a lovely gig and it restored my faith in humanity and young artists and the music they are creating. Such a pleasure to experience this show with my boy on his 18th birthday. I look forward to catching HA when they next return to our shores 🌟
This was my first metal show and I LOVED it! Wind Rose were epic, so much energy and Dwarven might.
Amazing set, first time seeing Caligular's Horse, will see again!
I was sad Wheel pulled out due to an band member illness.
I’m glad I ignored all the haters comments about Danny’s supposed bad attitude and singing and got tickets to their show here in Australia.
It was an amazing show and so much fun, he’s still a brilliant singer and engaging with the audience, would definitely see them again!
A night I'll never forget. Sungazer fan for life. And a fan of every member. As a casual guitarist, I will be following everything Shubh Saran does, as he had been goat'ed for me!
Absolutely amazing. The Venue was totally packed. All 3 artists were awesome. Only discovered Plini 6 months ago and now I'll follow Jakub and sungazer as well.

The Struts were absolutely amazing!
Such a tight band with great sound and of course the incredible Luke Spiller up front!
The venue is fantastic and intimate with great sound quality and The Struts put on an incredible show with lots of audience interaction. One of the best live rock shows I have seen and did not want it to end.
Dan told me they would put on a good show and they definitely didn’t disappoint!! I had a blast! My only problem was it didn’t go for longer 😅
Great venue, great vibes, great memories! Cable Ties are a super cool band and signed an LP for us! Every other act was fantastic as well, and I never would have thought to see them otherwise. Great night!
Amazing show - such a small venue. Nergal was hiding in the crowd, and then turned on his torch during the opening music/theme. Show was a great setlist - and sound mix was perfect - I'd love to go see them again - maybe a meet & greet next time !
These guys know how to nail a show! They’re tight, they go hard, mosh pit is ol skool and what a voice! They have come back with a vengeance. Will see next for SURE!
Love Max Watts venue too.
The venue though was too small and the bar savors were rude but the show from Jah was epic . Next time look for bigger space .
Best concert experience ever. Afterwards she signed things and took pictures with fans. The vibes during the concert were awesome.
