JST is the best blues woman to cross the pond from
Great Britain. Down to earth, genuine, original song writing and guitar licks never fail to please. Her bandmates are all immensely talented and along with her weiner dog (Hank), they are a first rate team.
Amazing music and artistry. Cant get enough of this band - wish they would come thru DC every 6 months. On top of that, The Hamilton is the best small venue in town - a real treat.
Great guitarist with great supporting cast. Drummer, bass guitar player, trumpet man, and Tenor Sax man were all fantastic and showcased their talents with awesome solos. How a mother of two can look like dynamite in bodysuit and stiletto heels and move fluidly on stage while killing it on her
Stratocaster is almost beyond belief. Twenty years of performing and no signs of slowing down. Ana Popovic is the ultimate
Show woman and her musicianship is second to none.
her album recordings are great, but the live show with her first team band (Laura Chavez, Scott Sutherland, Byron Cage) is next level, an experience not to be missed! Seek them out!
The band was amped and ready to go . Last of a few week run in the states . Just superb in every facet . Master musicians fronted by vocal stylings of the insanely talented Meghan Parnell . A must see band !
It was a wonderful venue, and an amazing show! Howie was excellent and dealt with a snapped guitar string with grace and humor. I would definitely visit Hamilton Live again, and I won't miss Howie Day the next time he comes close to me.
Howie put on moving performance, playing nearly all of my favorites that were not on the Stop All the World album which was a lovely surprise! In between songs, he shared some interesting stories and anecdotes about his career, the songs and inspiration for lyrics. The best part was that he generously came out at the end to meet with fans. He posed for a picture with me and my 15 yo, and signed my shirt - the picture on which he actually took himself! It was a fabulous experience that we will not forget :)
This band is one of the best to see live! They get the whole crowd involved and excited. The regulars at their shows are the most friendly crowd. Meghan Farrell made a surprise appearance to top off the night. 10 out of 5 stars!!!!
It was a fabulous George Harrison and the Beatles tribute. Everyone was was great, but with the first note Kipyn sang I felt the stress leave my body. She has the voice of an angel. Loved it! Can't wait to see her perform again.
Cory Henry has a way of drawing the attention of many in the simplest form! With a piano and a kick drummer he allowed for us, the audience, to be captivated through his unique ear, his creative writing and his sincere heart! May he be blessed to continue to share his gift freely with authenticity.
Red Wanting Blue never disappoints as they put on another energetic cross-over show with the Alternate Routes with the bands mixing and matching band mates; performing each other’s songs ending with the two bands playing AR’s ‘Carry Me Home’.
What a great time the band was tight and the sound was balanced, wish that. Mono Neon was their but the show was great. Wishing that this Band can come to North Carolina. We had a great time, it was a funkateer party.
I am still processing how amazing of a night this was. This was my 3rd Neighbor show, and the band absolutely crushed this night!! The sound in this quaint venue was phenomenal and the atmosphere even better. Felt like it was my own private show and getting to chat with some of the band members after was such a special treat!! Big shout out to The Hamilton Live and Neighbor!! If you have not seen this band yet live make a point to do so!!!
This was maybe the best show of my life. The Hamilton space is great and very intimate. It wasn’t too crowded. Most of all, Neighbor is absolutely phenomenal. It was the first time I saw them and I was blown away. It was a special show. The band even stuck around after and met with the fans. Great evening.
Thanks so much for a great night of music. So happy to see my favorite band back out there doing it. The Sherman Theater shows in Stroudsburg, PA last weekend were awesome as well.
Excellent Excellent Show for a wonderful organization. Idk why it won’t let me give a five star rating, but it was five stars all the way and more. Looking forward to attending next year too :)
First time seeing Nick Lowe since PPFNP (Jesus of Cool) was released. He is very engaging and obviously loves what he does. Los Straitjackets are a good complement. They seem like they can play anything-well. Great, but expensive venue.
Morgan James is an amazing talent and captivating performer!! I love this intimate venue for her, but those pipes of hers could fill any concert hall. Cannot wait to see her again.
10 year wait to see these guys. Thanks for the show, and hanging for to you Martin even though I had no idea who you were at the time. My passion is for music and Theres so much I never really had the time to dig into the artists in too much depth. Didn’t expect that nod to the Femmes, but it was fucking cool mr Bogie. I hope you make it to Germany one day and I’ll bring the wifey along. She has as much of a connection to your music as I do. Take care, and I hope y’all get the chance to cast your ballots while on tour. If your from TX hook Beto up.
Great show for both Eilen's brand and Hillfolk Noir. Love her new albums sound and from the stories she told I wish I could go camping with she and her crew in Idaho. Also I would love to hear Eilen's version of the folk song "Wayfaring Stranger". Maybe next year when she returns to the Hamilton.
Cheers its "Miller Time"
