My friend and I drove 8 hours to see this show. Rise Against does not come to our area much so we needed to go to them. The band is incredible, great performance as always. The Venue on the other hand needs some work. You have security to make sure people do not bring in weapons and to control who can and cannot drink and thats great! However your crowd control sucks.
We got to the venue early enough that we were able to secure a spot front and center at the baracade. This meant standing outside in the freezing cold and standing 3 hours in the pit at the front before the band came on stage. We were so badly bruised after the show from the constant moshing, body surfing and kicks to the head. The security in the front at the stage did nothing to warn us if people were coming our way, no mirrors or any type of crowd control at all and bodies were falling and banging in to us every 5 seconds. I am NOT able to carry a body over my head and I should not be expected to. All it takes is for one person to fall and snap their neck. No gun or weapons are alllowed, but slamming into people is.
I bought a shirt before the show that i lost trying to leave the front and go to the back, so I had to buy another one. Never again will I go to this venue and I will not recommend it to anyone.
I didn't Gain ENTRY funds are low and I DIDNT win tickets....6 bands, and I Love Scene Queen,I was ABLE TO : meet Bonnie's 'BODHI' Stand Atlantic vocalist, and gave her a care package. She was so Normal, in a great Way!; Solidarity & Namaste Aussies! Future Welcome to Yours Truly Rockers -PhillyBuddhist
The Adolescents were the best band on a spectacular line-up (Adolescents, Circle Jerks and Descendants). The sound was crisp and clear, and the band played old and new songs energetically. They were incredibly tight.
The Circle Jerks were too loud, overwhelming the concert hall and creating a wall of mud sound. While it was great to relive my youth by seeing this great band again, they seemed tired and unable to keep up with themselves.
The Descendant were as fantastic as ever, demonstrating why they have been so successful for so long. Tight and powerful, showing off their great songs and immense talent.
Great venue with a large stage and powerful sound system, too.
Circle Jerks are one of my favorite punk rock bands and Keith Morris is one of my favorite frontmen. Second time seeing them and I think they brought more energy and played faster than the first time. (If that’s possible!). Joey Castillo is a monster drummer and plays with such speed and precision it’s incredible. He makes the songs that already has great intensity more intense…
Beartooth, sleep theory, plot in you, invent Anima were amazing. Such a great lineup and all bands were so good. I would highly recommend everyone should see all bands live. Beartooth was nice. But the Vip session was like herding cattle you got minimal amount of time (less than a minute) with beartooth photo Op and then were handed the Vip merch and asked to leave the building. Not really sure it was worth the money. Show was good though .
She is a mesmerizing package. Her ethereal vocals and haunting beauty remain well after the performance. Her eyes are windows to a deep soul that flows through her music. All of that and she was kind enough to spend time with her fans afterwards. As gracious and humble as she is special.
I got hit from the back and blew up my knee. and as i limped away a man puked on my shoes. a guy pissed on people, During Spread Eagle Cross the Block i forced a pit open through violence and yelling, people looked at me with fear. i am icarus, i flew too close to the sun and god struck me down.
If you had to pick one show to see live, let it be Bad Omens! They are consistently good if not somehow managing to improve themselves every time I see them. Everything from sound balance to lights and video is amazing. For this concert they also managed to play over an hour. I also appreciated the Philly crowd because unlike what I've been hearing about other shows, this crowd didn't start any fights or have medical emergencies as Bad Omens will stop the show for those situations. I also appreciate Franklin Music Hall because on the second floor they have little risers for folks to stand on so those of us who are short can attempt to get a better view.
phenomenal! all the bands were incredible and out on a hell of a show. loved the way everything was set up. despite the couple hiccups due to weather: the bands, the staff, and the concert goers through the chaos were uplifting, fun. Most importantly, made sure we were all safe! TWY are THE GREATEST band of our GENERATION and tbh even tho i went solo, i didn’t feel lonely once being there 😋 ILY TWY!!!
The event was organized very well and i felt confident in the staff as they had to quickly move the event inside due to rain, then when it stopped they had announced that they already had a plan to move it back outside. food trucks and merch were good as well
This it my fourth time seeing anxious live and they get better with each performance. they are an absolute joy to see even if you don’t know them. i highly recommend seeing this band. the sky is the limit for them.
Phenomenal performance! I could have used another hour for more coverage of his amazing works!!!! He played some favorites and well known songs there were a couple of my favorites that didn’t make it to the set list. I hope to see his shows again soon! If I could, I would go to at least 5 shows on this tour. Love the other bands he was performing with too!!! I need MORE!!!!!
Definitely one of the best concerts I've been to. I waited 3 years for FKJ to come back to Philly and he did not disappoint. The venue was packed (I kept a mask on) but a plus was that food and drink are available for purchase. Security did a great job with checking everyone in.
show was great but meet and greet was a half hour late and i wanted a specific signature for a tattoo and was unable to get it due to the meet and greet being rushed. there was supposed to be an acoustic set which i expected to be similar to the last tour but we only got a few really quick songs that were also rushed. i dont know what caused this but it was not the experience i expected after also having the meet and greet and acoustic performance back in February. things happen though, the show itself was still a blast
Openers were fantastic and the band camino absolutely put on a show. crowd was a little rough and the band was trying to hype everyone up but nobody was having it. My friends and I were trying to grab the vibe they were putting out but nobody else wanted to join us. the couple next to us were slow dancing the whole time like they were at prom lmfao.
I think if the sound was a little bit louder it may have been better. I heard more of the crowd than i did the bands.
4.5/5 stars, but only because i wish that they had played more new material. the band is extremely magnetic and it was very interesting to see how they thought outside of the box for this tour--from Will Toledos led-light gas mask to Andrew Katz's live painting. Impeccable performances from all, with a really nice mix of album-exact songs and new twists on familiar favorites. Be forewarned, the crowd is an odd one, less millennial hipsters than you would think, and many more teenagers who it appears may have never left the house.
One of their best shows ever!
All night in and out of the pit! I live for this sh%#. Just a little sad because i lost my fitbit and the dirt bag that found it did not turn it in. My own fault for wearing it there knowing I was in the pait all night! Oh well,
KSE FRIGGIN RULES!!
Unbelievable Concert . Devon was the opening act and the entire group I was with enjoyed Devon immensely ! Actually much more the the headlining act . His look , soulful sound , phenomenal guitar playing and passion for what he does comes across as infectious ⭐️Highly recommend and will be going back to see him again when in town ! FANTASTIC 🙌🏽
Alien Weaponry was incredible but set was way too short. I got tickets just to see them so I wished they played longer. Carpenter Brut was ok. Good visuals but not my type of music. Then I thought, I get to see Ministry, who I’ve never seen, as a bonus to seeing Alien Weaponry ... well to hell with that! First three songs all had Anti-Trump videos in back , then next song had Antifa back up dancers with flags... that’s actually not a joke. Skinny little masked toads wiaving flags. F your politics, play the songs! That’s when me at at least twenty or so other attendees hit the door. But hey, Alien Weaponry ruled!!!
Light the Torch started things of in fine fashion.
Avatar killed it. Their on stage theatrics were a delight, and their performance was amazing. The only let down was how they ended their show. They ended with a slow song and then walked off stage. I was expecting a final song, like Avatar Country, to close the set in epic fashion, but that didn't happen.
Trivium was ok, but after the stage show that Avatar put on, their performance was flat and uninteresting.
