Amazing show! Definitely worth seeing them live. Met Deanna at the merch table, she was supper nice. My 11yo is a huge fan too so she was over the moon when Kyle gave her his guitar pick at the end of their set 🖤
If you ever are debating whether or not you should buy the tickets to an AA/BJ barham, just trust me and buy the tickets. I’ve been to countless concerts and BJ is the best performer I’ve ever seen. When he says nobody works harder than him in the music industry I 100% believe it. His storytelling is unmatched to anyone else. I may be from Ohio but BJ has figured out a way to make me feel like my whole childhood was spent down in Raleigh for the whole 2 hours he preformed with his superior songs and storytelling.
Nothing like a good ol' ska show to skank away the blues of Election Day. Mustard Plug never fails to crush it, and as always, delivered a gig full of fun and energy. I will never not see this band when they come to my town.
Very lively show! A lot of crowd interaction and his voice is old school country. The steel guitar player, Caleb, is a rare talent that could play on his o
wn.
Alex Williams put on a great performance as well.
Would definitely see Jesse and Alex again!
Brilliant Show At Rumba Cafe Columbus Ohio 5/11/24 By Grant Lee Phillips! I Ran Into Grant Outside The Venue Before The Show, Chatted & Got An Awesome Selfie Photo With Him! Thanks So Much For Playing “Happiness” & “Honey Don’t Think” & For The Onstage Shoutout Grant!
Smallish venue, which created an experience that felt personal, but also made it a touch warm inside. Poor Emily looked to be feeling it by the end of the set. NIght Club did a great job and I'm glad I made the drive up from Cincy.
Even after over 30 years of being a band, Mustard Plug came with such high energy, enthusiasm and fun. Every tune they played kept the dance floor jumping with smiles all around for the whole set. Super uplifting show!
I loved it! Joe Pug is a “down to earth” kinda guy, involves his audience, loves to tell his stories and just a good person! My first time to see him live and first time at The Rumba Cafe. My Family loved his music!
This was THE most amazing intimate concert I’ve attended. His connection with the crowd/fans along with his musical talent vocaly and instrumental is breathtaking. I will gladly attend another John Splithoff concert at this venue or another. 👏🏾👍🏾🔥
I had never been to the venue before and I was impressed with the size and the compact of the stage, bar and floor....A++ to the venue and as for the concert it was just as amazing and absolutely would drive the 3 hours each way to see Geordie Kieffer ever time his tour comes back to Columbus Ohio so couldn't ask for a better time than what I had last night
Nice venue, a little small but worked out perfectly for the crowd size. Shallow Side put on a great performance, and they were very interactive with their fans. It was sad that there were no T-Shirts to purchase, but they can't control inventory or deliveries. The other two acts were very good as well...but Shallow Side put on the best "show". It was well put together. AGS sang a song, talked, sang a song, talked, etc. Ovtlier was the opening act, and they were good, but only got to sing a few songs. I would go back to the venue, and will DEFINITELY see Shallow Side again.
Patrick is the real deal. What a talented writer, guitar player, singer & fantastic entertainer. Can’t believe he hasn’t gone to the big leagues, such a treasure.
We love him and his band you can so see that they really enjoy putting out great shows for us to enjoy.
The show was great!!!! Loved everything about it. Was nice to see the Dollyrots after the show greeting & meeting with the fans, really made the night special. Also loved the two groups that play before the Dollyrots. The Rat Motel & The Von Tramps were really good too. Loved the Rumba Cafe, nice small place so you were able to enjoy the show and not from way up in the nosebleed section. The crowd was great too, friendly & just there to have a good time. And that was what it was, a good time. Can't wait for next year.
They seemed kind of bored, or going through the motions (other than the drummer!!), but the overall performance itself was great. I’ve loved these guys for decades and wasn’t disappointed, being able to meet them was great too. They were really nice, friendly, and accommodating. These dudes deserve more, so maybe that’s why they seemed so calm and subdued (the venue was tiny, crowded, and very poorly ran)—but the performance was professional and nearly flawless.
This is my 3rd time seeing The Unlikely Candidates at this venue, and it has yet to be disappointing. I always have a blast, and with the venue being so small, the show is so much more personable.
The WEATHERS brought the rain as a giant waterfall fell from the ceiling and interrupted the concert. They were true professionals and soldiered on with a mini acoustic set before order was restored. It's a night that will not soon be forgotten by anyone!
Amazing show at the Rumba Cafe by one of my new favorite Country artists Jack Klatt. Beautiful forlorn ballads catchy pop tunes and wow a cover of Neil Young’s Unknown Legend. New album is on Yep Roc ‘it ain’t the same.’
Sweet Spirit did not disappoint. They are amazing to see live, especially in a venue the size of Rumba Café. Brilliant performance, high energy, fantastic songs. Also members of the band were very friendly hanging out before and after the show. Another night to remember. See this band!
It was great. Love these smaller venues. 2nd time I’ve seen Horton Heat. Barn burners they are. Never heard of the shack Shakers till now and glad I have. They’re really good too. Totally glad I went to this show. Had a fantastic time.
