one billion out of 5 if I could. my buddy and I stood outside for 2 hours and got front row, and absolutely don’t regret freezing our a$$es off.
The Cold Stares bring it every time. From the blues to straight up rock n roll they always deliver. They are awesome live- do yourself a favor and catch a show.
Great show and great venue. Scott and team are great and seem to get even better with each show. They have an energy and passion and just keep putting out more and more new music/CDs. I’ll be back to see them in May at The Basement. If you get a chance to see them play you should do it now while you can enjoy their music/energy in nice memorable clubs! They have 6/7 CDs dating back to 2014 and each one kicks. Keep rocking CS!
The Cold Stares were fantastic! Great blues heavy rock n roll. Chris Tapp has a voice that you will recognize when you hear him, rich and deep. The guys on drums (Brian Mullins) and bass (Bryce) keep you tapping your feet and moving your head to the beat. you can't help but have a good time. Do yourself a favor and check them out yourself.
It was rockin’ amazing!! These guys really know how to put on a show!! I am a huge fan and can’t wait to see what the future brings for them!!❤️
Yarn always brings a good show. They have so many amazing songs to select from. I highly recommend! The acoustics in this cool basement venue were awesome! So happy we made the trip!
The Basement is a unique nook that hold 150. I loved the atmosphere and the people..all the people. Tennessee manners and hospitality...love it.
Lily Meola killed it :O) I will go see her and her band ass often as I can. Cowboy is a terrific song and so are the resy of her songs. If you can catch Lily in concert, I highly recommend you go.
The Woods were great as they usually are. They were spot on for this show, and to have The Basement packed like that, made it even better. Always a great place to see show. Just hoping that if The Woods do take off, which they should, we are still able to get tix to see their shows in the future! Good luck with your summer tour plans!
It was fantastic. Robinson has a very unique and creative style that makes him the outstanding music artist that he is. He has a great energy and a great person too. He is very genuine and authentic. I really like his style of guitar playing, his songs and his voice. There’s nothing like him out there in the music industry and that is very appealing to me. Well Done Robinson Treacher!
Really enjoyed the new arrangement for "Sprinter" and getting to hear new music! Mackenzie's voice is as good, if not better, live than on recordings. A little disappointed there wasn't an encore but considering the treacherous road conditions and the fact that yes, we were a bit of a "tired crowd", it was a better decision to not extend the set. Can't wait til Torres is back in town on the next album cycle!
So much fun! Incredible music! Loved meeting the performer’s friends and family! Ya’ll are going to be huge and I’m grateful for getting the chance to see and listen in such an intimate space!
A Great show (not an exaggeration).
IMO this is the best format for Ms McNally... leading an accomplished set of musicians delving into her extensive catalog of songs.
Always a pleasure hearing her voice and seeing her play that black&white.
the show was amazing it one of the best show i seen in sometime i wish they hsave a bathroom and merchadism and more room it was kinda cramp @the venus there the sound wasn,t all there
An excellent performance with an 8 piece band full of top notch musicians. Also a brief listen to some of the songs from his upcoming album which may top his last one…. Hard to believe he could but its looking good. Americana at its finest!!
One of the best live shows I have seen and I have seen 100’s. He’s not going to be playing small stages like that for much longer. Story telling as good as Isbell but with Jeff Buckley’s voice.
Tommy Prine is his own man with his Dad's soul and sometimes even his voice. He is an outstanding songwriter, singer and guitar player. Tommy has a great sense of humor and care for others. Go see him and buy his album coming out in June, 2023.
They were absolutely incredible!! Supremely talented and innovative with such a unique sound. Been listening to these guys for a minute but it was the first chance to see them live, and in that tiny little venue they blew the friggin walls out of that building.
🌀Incredible! Love 💕 these guys! Decided today to drive to Nashville (5hrs) but soooo worth it! I would actually drive to Columbus but Sold Out. (Unless there is a ticket floating out in the Universe that has Patti Power’s name on it. 😉)
Thanks to Greg for sharing his sound bite with me!
Missed Tim because of venue issues and, I’ll say, the full moon! So disappointed! Truly! You rock!
Robyn was amazing. His excellent young band was better than the Venus 3 with Peter Buck. Truly tight with solid harmonies. Frankly it was unbelievable to see such a great show at point blank range.
Exquisite music, but the extreme heat ruined the show. The Basement should put in more tables, sell fewer tickets, or get a major upgrade to their AC. I couldn't focus on the songs as the heat rose and left before the last 2 songs. Walking out into 93 degree weather felt incredibly refreshing. I saw a LOT of people leave much earlier in a steady stream. I've been to a less crowded show the same week and it was fine. Charge twice as much and let half as many people in. This venue has great sound and can be comfortable. Erin Rae gets 5 stars, but the venue was awful due to heat from overcrowding.
