Mega Ran brings the most genuinely positive energy to everything he does. My friends fell instantly in love with him.
Starbenders was a huge surprise for my whole group. Their whole aesthetic is somehow simultaneously a throwback to my 80's teen years and breath of fresh new energy. Their sound kicks ass but also meanders dreamily at times. Fantastic.
Magic Sword has never sounded better. I've seen them 6 times and they are always incredible, but tonight was a new level for them. Their music makes me transcend this dull, colorless plane of utter mundanity to experience the true harmony of the cosmos.
Best. Show. Ever.
Best show of my Life!!! Vibes were immaculate, instrumentation & vocals all 20/10. Seeing The Altons and Sinseers together was really a dream. Shoutout Parlor Greens too, thanks to Jimmy Jacob’s for giving me their setlist! Check out my playlist on Spotify I made with all three acts, search “Club Heartache Underground Arts”

Kabaka pyramid headlined the show. Performed a lot of his songs as well as a few songs by some of the reggae greats like Peter Tosh.. the vibe was dope and the venue was intimate where you could be close to stage and actually see and hear the artists perform. If you haven’t seen kabaka pyramid you’re missing out! Lyrical genius here!
Blood Incantation was amazing and played their new, incredibly complicated record, perfectly. Well.. almost perfectly. There is just so much technical brutality and moments of brilliance, it's sometimes hard to focus on the music because I was mesmerized by its complication. The venue was awful. Low stage, over sold, and pillars blocking the view all over the place. Then we come to Midwife. Awful. Unbelievably bad. She's what happens when everyone that shows up wins a trophy. Everyone was nice to her, and they didn't do her a service. She was not a match for the crowd, but because we live in a world where we want to nice to everyone instead of helpful, everyone clapped, further deepening how she just isn't a match for the tour. If she played at a coffee shop, fine. Open mic night at a brewery? Yes. But opening up for Blood Incantation? No!!!!! Someone needs to be honest with themselves and understand that is not the type of opener for that crowd. Anyway, I pray Blood Incantation sticks around for a very long time, they remain healthy, positive, and making amazing music!
My second time seeing Princess Goes. The band blows me away in their stylistics and uniquely soothing, living, breathing rock tunes. Saw them at the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles the first time & no matter the venue, they are electric. I will say, Underground Arts is an amazing, intimate venue that I would definitely love to visit again. I’m from Texas and now I’m obsessed with Philly - every single person I met was so kind. The brotherly love is real there. So glad the guys played this venue & we were there!
This was my 4th Nicotine Dolls show. Sam and the boys never disappoint! They sounded amazing. ❤️
I will say I was disappointed in the way some attendee’s were yelling over the artist trying to sing during the opening act’s set and Dumping drinks on bystanders. Very disrespectful. The Underground staff should have escorted them out, instead of ignoring it for the full 6-7 song set. I felt so bad for him. He actually had a good voice!
Show was so good! Definitely would see them again. Each member is very unique and brings their own style and talents to the group. We got to meet the lead singer and she was very happy to take them time to take with us and autograph the shirts we bought. Great band!!
This show was simply electric. I had not heard of Thelma and the Sleaze prior to this performance. I just really enjoyed the music, the play of each of the musicians, and LG’s banter between songs. A high energy performance that engaged the audience. Totally would recommend seeing them live if you have the chance. I’ve been listening to their latest album, Holy Water, on repeat since the concert.
First time at Underground Arts and the space is awesome! The show - the BANDs were fantastic! Worth the wait to see Mondo Cozmo live - I had tix for the March 2020 show and we all now what happened there! Love the studio albums and hearing the music live was perfection. I saw him once before live for XPoNential and definitely wanted to hear more. Thank you Josh for being you and producing the music you create. You are a gem of a human and so kind. Thank you for coming home post-COVID to perform for us!
Big Wreck was amazing as always! I think this was my 5th time seeing them live, and I make sure to make every show in this area. They deserve much more recognition in the states but the fans know it’s a blessing to witness such talented musicians perform up close and will continue to support these guys. I can only hope they continue playing and return to the area for years to come. Keep rocking, Big Wreck we love and appreciate you!
Big Wreck is easily one of the greatest rock bands of the last 20 years. Their mix of solid song writing and explosive love performance never disappoints. This show was no exception and has made me an even more devoted fan. If you haven’t heard them go listen now!! Underground Arts was a cool venue but the mix on the sound could have been turned down just a bit to allow for a better separation. Whether or not this was a limitation of the venue, equipment or otherwise I can’t say but the concert was still a great time!
AMAZING!!! The venue was awesome and the sound was wonderful. The Bridge City Sinners, Local News Legends, Crazy and the Brains and The Looms all put on an amazing show. All the bands were very personable and very willing to have a conversation and just hang out in the crowd. Thank you to Underground Arts and all the bands. Thank you to the lead singer for getting everyone to autograph me and my wife's cd and also thank you for taking a picture with us. Catch you Looms the next time keep the music coming.

This was one of the BEST CONCERTS I’ve been to in a long time! I was beyond excited to meet Vedo in person and witness his talent. He is beyond sexy, handsome and talented! The vibe in that room was unmatched. Everyone knew all the words to his songs including myself and it was just pure love just like his songs! I enjoyed the Underground Arts. This was my first time and being an out of towner I was impressed and will definitely be back for future shows.
I had been listening to Elder for about 4 or 5 years. I heard dead roots once and was hooked. I didn't see any or many tour dates in the states for quite awhile. I kept waiting. After a few years out of the blue I got an Underground Arts email. Elder Live at UA 2020. But a bad rumor was spreading that year and the show got scratched. Then, in '22 at long last, Behold The Elder! And they were Absolutely Fantastic! Captivating the whole damn show! So I was glad I had tix for the following night as well. If they are around, i'm going.
10/10 experience up close and personal with Riverside. I didn't realize what a group of genuinely fun and occasionally silly dudes these guys are but it was an experience I could never have expected. I'll definitely be seeing them again when they're in town. Also The Cyberiam Duo was excellent, a great opener, and will definitely be adding them to the listening rotation.
Elder delivered on EVERY SINGLE level of expectation I had. You would get so lost in their amazing set and thundering sound and they played so well in time with each other, it was like an exact replica from the studio albums. 1st time seeing them, and goddamn they were amazing. Awesome setlist too!! Great openers as well, as Dreadnought and Ruby the Hatchet delivered their sound perfectly and were fantastic. Awesome experience and really cool venue!
I went to see The Temperance Movement and ended up a fan of Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown! These guys can play! Rock & Roll and Bluesy (they played Mojo Workin|Muddy Waters). Tyler is a fantastic guitarist and frontman! Caleb’s drumming is amazing, Graham is also an amazing guitarist and Noah’s a great bassist! Down to earth, humble guys! Their roadie is even nice, ha! Don’t miss this tour! Buy|Stream Truth And Lies their newest LP|CD!
I saw him first in Baltimore and i just had to go to a second show so i followed him to Philly. He's so personable and genuine you can tell he really appreciates his fans and truly just loves making music like a bonafide artist which is quite refreshing in the current musical climate. Can't wait for his next tour ill be there with bells on or maybe Andy Black NTIO Jewelry!! Lol
