I had VIP - Meet & Greet tickets, and honestly it was a great experience! We got to meet Josh and the guys before the show. They gave us signed posters and a lapel pin. They also did a Q&A before the show started which was an awesome chance to ask questions and see their personalities shine. If Not For Me blew my socks off per usual. I hadn't listened to The Funeral Portrait or Archers before, but they were amazing as well. Catch Your Breath never disappoints. Josh's vocals in person are just incredible and inspiring. The venue used to be a theatre, so it was really cool. There was also the chance to talk with the openers after the show. The whole experience was amazing. I can't wait to see them again.
I went to the show and then i realized my spit got taken so I stood and watched if not for me and then people were standing in my way and i couldn’t see the rest of the artists I sat on the floor in the back during the whole concert and the venue was cool but the bathrooms need a makeover that’s my opinion.
Show was amazing! I saw him in Raleigh years ago during his first solo tour and this time at Charlotte NC in NoDa was just as awesome if not more having after 3 albums + more to share. I think we gave him a good surprise with a great crowd and he was on fire, he had like a 5min solo moment that I've never seen in multiple MK or Alter Bridge concerts solos, absolutely INSANE. My goodnessI really hope he returns, what a privilege was to see him in my friendly neighborhood NoDa
This was a fantastic event! Bywater Call is a favorite band of ours and the Interval International 30th Anniversary Party weekend was amazing! Meghan and Dave played an acoustic set during the day that was fantastic. Meghan’s voice is top notch while seemingly effortless comes across like an angel along with Dave’s melodic phenomenal guitar prowess made for a fun day! Thanks for coming to Charlotte.
This Venu is like being in Soho, New York. What a happy night. Left our cell phone in the hotel room and the upbeat staff contacted the owner and she let them know that we, indeed, had tickets and in we went. Super staff. Thank you.
Now, about Walter and his cronies......great is not a big enough word. Stupendous, awe striking, fun, happy and so in touch with each other's spirit.
Thank you,
Suzanne
King’s X was amazing as expected! Seemed like the sound mix was a struggle - took a little while to adjust to the fact that the background vocals are integral to their music. I also didn’t understand why they wouldn’t light Ty (the guitar player.) When Doug (the bass player) asked to have his light turned down in order to not literally outshine Ty, seemed like they just left both him and Ty in the dark the rest of the time and only lit the drummer. Seemed spiteful, but maybe there were just technical issues.
The show was sold out. I get that the establishment can hold a certain number of people, however there were soooo many people that you couldn’t hear the music from the talking in the background. It was like air conditioning had never been invented in there. Very frustrating. Tensions ran high with a scuffle breaking out over people talking so loudly. One man shouted “shut the f$&@ up!” At the top of his lungs at one point.
Good, energetic crowd on a Monday night on Nick’s first visit to Charlotte with his band. He played new songs, old songs and told some great stories. The band was tight, the set was a nice roller coaster with a mix of up tempo and quieter yodels. His signature lyrics were clear with a nice mix from the sound system. Fun, fun, fun on a Monday night.
Lauren Sanderson put on an amazing show at the neighborhood theatre on September 21, 2023! The lay out of the venue was perfect for everyone to get some kind of interaction with the preforms. The drinks were reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly! Overall, my experience at the neighborhood theatre, watching one of my favorite artists preform, was astounding and unforgettable! I 10/10 recommend this venue!
This would be a 100 star rating if that existed. I had high expectations coming in and they exceeded them. The talent of Charlie Starr is so incredible. He can sing and play at such a high level and then you realize how awesome his songwriting is. If you are a Blackberry Smoke fan or just wanted to see one of the more talented musicians on the planet go catch a Charlie Starr acoustic show.
Excellent! Would give 5 stars except for two items: (1) a few patrons standing nearby to people trying to listen and enjoy the show were more interested in talking loudly and disrupting the show; and (2) when asked the bar tender for some water was told it had to be purchased for $3 per plastic bottle. Tap water should be available and for free.
I've gone to Margo Price shows since her first album was released. I really loved her show at Merlefest 2021 (a festival that also featured powerhouse Susan Tedeschi and the Tedeschi Trucks Band).
This show was BETTER!
Margo keeps getting better. Her show is high energy, her voice keeps getting richer, and the band shows the fruits of years of playing and touring.
Margo Price is the real deal.
If she's in your neighborhood, GO SEE HER!
Brendan James is exceptional. He writes music which inspires and uplifts everyone in the room. His love of life and people is unlike any other artist I've known. He is truly a beautiful human. He's been one of my favorite musicians since 2009. If Brendan is playing somewhere within 2 hrs from home, I will be there. There's just nothing better than to hear him play the piano or keyboard (and Craig on drums) and sing, whistle, and tell stories which change the energy in the room! His music is available on Amazon and Spotify and worth every penny. He is a family man who is a dedicated husband and father...a beautiful human in every way!
Amazing concert, amazing crowd!! Bilmuri is incredibly underrated but on the rise!!! At the end the whole crowd started chanting for one more song and they came back out and Johnny got down into the crowd to finish the show! After, he said he was going to stay and meet everyone there and he did! The other band me never also came down and met with people and it was so wholesome! Very down-to-earth people who truly care about putting on a rocking show for their fans and taking care of their fan family 🖤
Best show I've seen in North Carolina. Sunny Sweeney has a real way of connecting with her audience with stories about the songs. Her songs are real and will hit you right in the "feels". The band really blew me away, real tight and fun to watch (looking at you rhythm section) The venue was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. Bein from Texas I did find it odd that folks were standing in front of the stage, that's where folks are supposed to dance. ;-)
Loved it. Best show in a long time. So personal. Everyone was willing to take the time to be nice and get pictures with everyone. Loved it all... Swaaun, Kentay_241, caskey and Doobie. I honestly almost cried when doobie hugged me. I would definitely see any of these artists again, and the venue was great. Loved going to the bar and running into kentay cowboy at the bar. He signed my shirt.
The concert was great! All of their openers were a vibe! The only problem was the audio for the acoustics was bad for the first two openers. Their instruments were louder than their actual voices and you could tell that it was either the microphones themselves or the audio people controlling it that was mucking it up. You could tell that even the singers were getting frustrated based on their faces. But when Snail Mail came out they had it all fixed and she sounded great and normal. The overall concert experience was still great and it was a mad chill experience and the opening bands and Snail Mail were all such a vibe. They all came out on time and wasted no time getting the next band ready to come on. It was a great concert experience and can’t wait to see them again!
I was pleasantly surprised with the two opening bands, Itchy Kitty and Prism Bitch. Neither are my favorite genre of music but they had a lot energy and obviously loved performing. I’d see Built to Spill several times and Doug’s band is always Doug’s band. I suppose he’d look happier to play if he wasn’t playing every night. His drummer, also the drummer for Prism Bitch is awesome! The other 2 ladies are really good too… Fun night. Always enjoy the venue.
I was blissfully happy-I came there alone, and i left by myself. Yet had the most amazingly fun and exciting experience!! Great great
Great great great times infinity is how much I adore ani. ani is just an incredibly talented artist, both poetically and musically. I am so in awe
Of her and feel so blessed to have had the chance to see her tour. I live in north carolina so she doesn’t come down here often. And i have kids so its hard for me to make the road trips. Anyway love you ani-all-keep smiling xo
been a fan for 10 plus years. Expected much bigger crowd disappointments for them. And show not as energetic. Their new album is gonna have to grow on me. I like their rawness and the new music seems too over produced, energy missing. They are so talented, vocals are better and better. Haven't seen them in 4 years and brought newbies. :( Still love them admire their music. Well written songs. I'm not sure last night if it was sound guy, then or but nothing aggravates me more than to not be able to understand the words. That makes it impossible to relate to the song.
