Fantastic show! Played Atlanta Fox Theatre 4/29/80
DSO was on top of their game last night at the beautiful Providence Performing Arts Center. The boys were on fire recreating an April, 1980 show from the Fox Theater in Atlanta. They didn't waste any time, opening up with a smoking Jack Straw, and concluding with Bertha, and closing with a double encore US Blues & Love The One Your With. Looking forward to seeing DSO the next time they swing into tge area.
Wonderful night, gorgeous venue and a great band! Dark Star Orchestra is always fun and interesting, this night they recreated a 1980 Atlanta show and it was a lot of fun! Room to dance, great sound and sight lines.... the venue is a well maintained 1920s palace.... lots of ornamentation and details.... wonderful ceiling, lobby, stairways...... very cool!
Great solo performance at a wonderful venue.
Beautiful, beautiful. Great voice, and all those completely different guitars! Glad we went.
Fantastic evening of music and stories. Played quite a few new songs !!
Simple, straight forward focus on the music and lyrics.
More of this!
They played all the favorites and some of their new tunes. Overall, they were a tight band with only one problem. They were a little bit too loud.
What a beautiful and comfortable venue in which to see a show. And what a show it was. The 84-year-old Smokey Robinson looked and sounded great.
Dashboard was a ton of fun. Interesting combination with them playing with counting crows, but can’t complain!
Really cool, intimate set up. Great mix of songs and story-telling
The concert was the perfect way to get into the Christmas mood. Marie’s versatility was amazing. She sang her hit Paper Roses and the aria Nessun Dorma with ease. There were upbeat Christmas songs ( here we come a caroling) and classics Silent Night. Her version of How Great thou art blew everyone away. Her decades of experience in front of a crowd was evident as she walked through the house shaking hands and interacting with everyone from the stage.
David Osmond proved that he has inherited the Family talent. Performing Bigband. Jazz and joining his Aunt for a few duets. If you have a chance to see these two in concert certainly go. You won’t regret it.
Incredible. Voice was strong, performance was wildly original. Only played songs from current album.
I met Bob in the lobby. Amazing experience
FANTASTIC! FABULOUS! He's an amazing entertainer, with such a quick wit! It all went by in a happy, happy blur. We were so disappointed when all of a sudden he was wrapping up.
Bought his book and was so glad to know some of the proceeds go to charity. Good for Randy!
Hope he's back soon!
I enjoyed the show very much. Randy was very funny and engaging. Lots of costume changes, as expected. The music was great. Very happy I went.
So friggin funny, captivates the crowd and very interactive
Great show. John is a great showman and story teller
