Fitzgerald's is THE BEST place to hear live music! An intimate, friendly experience and reasonable prices. Donna the Buffalo was awesome. So much energy and talent. Felt privileged to be a part of it.
I attended this garden party, there was wind, cold, dark, dank..feral kids running around. Loud, obnoxious adults. The sound quality at Fitzgeralds isn't a thing of beauty. Their service is sub-par. Babygold Barbeque is a beautiful thing. I would like to attend the electric car tribute band covering The Cars music in an indoor venue. I think the outdoor thing isn't showing their best side.
Fitzgerald’s is an amazing venue. Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ has been one of my favorite bands since I was lent a copy of Mystery Road by the new kid from Georgia. I’ll see them, Kevn or any variation anytime they are in town. But, last night it’s like they were reading my mind. So many great songs, such great chemistry. Loved it!
Kevin Kinney is an icon, great songs, great playin, great banter, Fitzgeralds was a special place to honor the talent he is. Great to see Tim laying down the bottom end solid as ever, and the rest of the boys just rock. Dont miss this band, shows you can still f'n afford!
One of the best shows I've been to in a long time. Amazing songwriting, top notch musicians, great musicality, and lots of authenticity made for a joyful experience. I will travel to see them next time River and band are anywhere close!
Rate a concert? Do you think this is a plumber? What’s with people these days? Gotta rate everything one thru five. It’s disheartening and inhuman. You can’t rate the captivating eloquence of her storytelling like it was a garden variety impulse Amazon purchase. You’re insulting everyone involved
I actually saw MM @ the acorn theater in three oaks MI the next day and asked her.to play the Brandi festival in MEX :) I can't wait till you have a big old band that can play you off the stage in that country diva tradition with your fantastic & very funny set closing song... Swoon... I see it. Go get it.
I wish Sam sang more songs. The band kept on saying that they had to have a truncated show because another act was coming. On Fitgerald's site, there was no mention of another act. Hmmm....
Corey Dennison is quite possibly the most underrated guitarist in the Chicago Blues scene right now. Having re-entered the live music scene after COVID and a short "timeout", his re-formed band is as tight & talented as they come. Corey's voice is as strong & powerful as ever and his guitar work continues to add depth & character to each subsequent note. He stands shoulder to shoulder with Toronzo, Mike Wheeler & Ivan Singh as the brightest Blues stars on the Chicago scene. Don't miss a chance to see him.
Awesome show - of course - it's The Rev. I've lost count how many times I've seen them but this one felt special - the small familiar venue added so much to the performance. Add to that hanging out with each of the band members after the show in free conversation, what more can you ask for?
Seen Chuck often over a long period of time and he just keeps getting better. I brought a couple first timers to see him at Fitzgeralds in Berwyn and they’re now hooked. We missed Stephanie but Long Live Chuck!
Stunning old school DBT club show as when I started seeing em at Abbey Pub n Schubas back in the day - was fun to hand out some copies of those to fans. Raucous rock n roll with the three guitar attack, all their old songs mostly SRO and prior with a few new ones sprinkled in. Boys in rare form, pre gaming in the back room with a bottle of whiskey, miss them passing it around to fans as they used to…. Never miss a dbt show!
The only reason I gave this performance a four star vs. a five star was because I thought the sound was slightly skewed under the tent. The solo artist who performed before Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs sounded just fine. Perhaps it was four/five mics under the tent? Otherwise, LOVED the performance!
Thank you for hosting incredible musicians throughout the year!
They made up for lost time - and then some! Opening act of Devil in a Woodpile was an unexpected delight! I'd go back just to see them.
This was a great show and they did not slow down, total dirt track show, over two hours and a bunch of new stuff. "Dear Mr. fantasy" will knock you to your knees. The band was in fine form and made a picture with me after the show, very fan friendly, have seen them many times in town over the decades really, and finally had a chance to meet them .
like being with old friends
Dale and His Lonestars were entertaining as all get out. They played many requests from the crowd and shared several hilarious anecdotes. The room was pleasantly full, but not overly crowded. Service at the bar was quick and friendly.
Have been seeing Ernie for over 25 years now and he is only getting better with the lessons of life and being on the road as a dad and troubadour...
Always a great show full of great energy and amazing performer! First time we saw him solo... The sound was so full you would not even know it was a one man show. Mindblowing talent!
The groove was real heavy Saturday night at Fitzgerald's. The sax, the organ, the bass, the drums, the lead guitar - Hey, that's everybody! Each musician found his groove. The crowd danced and rocked in their seats. When will they be back? We'll look for an opportunity to catch them again!
Great show and with a mixture of new and old songs (old=Western swing oldies). The stage equipment wasn’t very good (microphone gave some feedback a few times). A venue I haven’t been to before. Parking is hot or miss; there’s one or two spots out front?
