Great show is a major understatement. Kudos to Johnny (superb guitar work along with Mike Randle and Rusty Squeezebox) and these guys for decades of performing some of the greatest songs of "rock and roll" penned by Arthur Lee and Bryan Maclean. They sound great as ever! And Arthur and Bryan are still missed along with other Love musicians along the way.
I was trying to count how many times I have seen Tommy Castro and his band. It is somewhere north of 60 times. Tommy has never disappointed me. No matter what sort of arrangement his band is in. He delivers. Sunday night he played with a youthful enthusiasm that I have not seen from him for a while. Record release party; Closer To The Bone. A great blues album. Right there at the top of all his releases. The Painkillers promptly put out a one two punch. Randy on bass, Mike on the keys, and their new drummer was a thrill to watch. Jackson Castro joined Tommy for a rendition of Midnight Special that brought the crowd up and screaming for more.
Never miss a chance to see Tommy Castro and the Painkillers. Thank you Sweetwater Music Hall. That was an unforgettable night.
We've been listening to this band for a few years, and to see them live was a dynamic experience. The studio songs that they performed had their own spin, and their sound is always evolving as the two brothers bring in other musicians. Sweetwater was a nice small venue where we could enjoy seeing the musicians play, although the dancing room was tight. I'd definitely see them again, or go back for another show.
Jackie and his band never disappoint...all 3 nights sold out, and very grateful for the Livestream for all those that couldn't make it in person...

Well as everyone knows, Tommy Castro & The Pain Killers never disappoint. And I always have a great time. Sometimes the venue makes it even better. The Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley CA. Is One of The Beat places to see live music in the North Bay. Seriously.
Thank you Sweetwater and thank you TC & the painkillers. I had a blast.
These folks just keep getting better and better.
Crystal is a powerhouse with her vocals. The musicianship and songwriting of all is some of the best out there!
My only complaint is that since they were the openers they did not get to play long enough.
I’m looking forward to their next album coming out in June 24
This woman is a complete entertainer in every way. I love seeing people that are stoked, upbeat and posses a stellar voice. What a blessing.
It was easy to experience a great time since the Sweetwater is about 250 to 300 people. I had a second row seat, right up front. Singing and playing with a knock me down voice that blew the crowd away. We all loved her choice of songs to play, even a new one as if it was icing on a delightful cake.
Wow, what a show. I'd chase her tour for another blessing of desert, anytime!
So good to have you in the Bay. Really loved your range of tunes you chose to play. I listen to you all the time. I can’t wait to see you come farther into the Bay Area with a show at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley. Acoustics are wicked in this venue, you could let loose there. Come get some of this East Bay Grease. More people to love your sultry sounds down here. Hope you enjoyed the honey, special stuff, just like you. Hope to see you soon. Bless you and the family.

Not sure why it won’t let me leave five full stars. This show was amazing! So glad I went. He is really an amazing performer. I wish he played My Maria but maybe I should have yelled out my request like everyone else did. Good times!
Jerry Douglas is a prodigious dobro talent with technique mere mortals can only admire. But he’s also an engaging, funny bandleader - and no vocal slouch. It was a treat to hear him sing a bit. The Band is right there with him - skills to spare and performing skills of their own. It was a great evening, in a wonderful venue. Some familiar material and some lesser known pieces, comfortably melodic at times and ferociously challenging in rhythms and harmonies at others. All in all, superb. I would happily have stayed for two more hours.
Jerry's 🕊️ Middle 🖕🏽Finger ☯️is an Unreal Band. The experience of hearing J.G.B 🥳 music, with J.M🖕🏽.F ☯️will leave you speechless.
Also, they are really great Folks 🫂, with such Amazing Energy ✨.
I HIGHLY suggest going to a J.M🖕🏽.F ☯️Show.
I've been with the Grateful 🌹Dead 🥀 Family, since 1978, so I'm somewhat
knowledgeable on this...
Go, you'll never Look 👀 back.

Man that was the most fun I had at a Tommy Castro show in years. Tommy brought out some guest appearances by some old friends that played guitar with him. And the big highlight was Keith Crossant being there to bring back his sax playing with TCB. Like old times. Also drummer Bowen Browns son sitting in on the drum kit for a song. It was definitely a party that I won’t forget. Tommy is a magician if you ask me. He recreates himself every year as he ages. Shows no sign of slowing down. Don’t ever pass up a chance to see Tommy Castro and the Painkillers. Also Sweetwater Music Hall did a fantastic job of hosting. That was the best Saturday night I have had in years.
Alejandro is an absolute beast and a once in a lifetime musician and artist. He does a great job getting lost in his music and we all just sit back in awe and enjoy the ride. I’ve seen him numerous times and he never ever disappoints. The speakers and setup were perfect for his set and it was such an intimate place for a show. It was a truly a great experience. Lots of people, including myself, stayed behind for his second set. If you can see him, please do! He will blow your mind.
Son Little and the band were fantastic! His voice and the music were exactly in tune, and they were exactly what i needed! He is a very talented artist & I'm grateful that i got to see him in such an intimate setting.
Wow !!! what a showman what a show.
Made the 2 hour trek from Folsom to this cool little venue. Well worth the drive would do it again in a heartbeat. Was a little disappointed to not see Joy but was a great show all the same. Hopefully you guys can come out to Sac sometime. (HARLOWS is the solid hip hop spot in Sac so start there .....please. ). Look forward to seeing you guys again sometime soon. Take care and be well.

This was a way different night for an Eric Lindell show. Not what I am used to. Buy it is also nice to see him change things up. I am wondering if Eric may have had a physical problem that was keeping him from playing guitar like we are all accustomed to. I kept thinking (next song he and Anson Funderberg are gonna rip it up) That never happened. He played very few of his originals and mostly jam band type songs that went on for a long time. And the crowd was thin... like they had been tipped off that this is a different style band. Also NO Bass guitar. Brother Joe on keyboards did the bass on his keyboard. Very unusual for Eric... or anyone... Then boom. Last song. It was only about 9:45pm.
But Eric is and always will be like family to me and my girl. So I would never pass up a chance to see him. The Sweetwater is always a great place to be.
Best. show. ever. More star power (and rockin’ years) per square inch on the stage at the iconic Sweetwater than I can imagine. Jackson was the man of the hour, but then he trotted out Bonnie Raitt and Bobby Weir. Jackson and Bobby’s duet of “Take It Easy” and “Not Fade Away” are those classic won’t-ever-forget moments. And it all went to a great cause.
