The Paramount Theater is our favorite venue to see shows. Jose Gonzalez was absolutely fantastic! He played for almost an hour and a half and we were all wanting more. Great performer and guitarist. We will definitely be going back soon, as the Paramount always books great artists.
Excellent. Spiritually nourishing and soulfully explosive - I was so thrilled to see them in person and hope that they will keep returning to this area
Fantastic show! Best live comedy I've seen in years.
Excellent show. Just like seeing the original bros.
KWS Band was amazing. The musicianship was incredible, and this was such an amazing venue. Beautiful, clean, and intimate. Like having the band play in your backyard.
First of all, one of the best venues in the U.S. Classic, historic Paramount Theater. The setlist was a nice balance between the deeply familiar and the yet-to-be discovered. Wonderful to see the core three of EC, Steven Nieve and all-time legendary drummer Pete Thomas, ably joined by a bassist and guitarist (who everyone thought was Kevin Bacon in disguise). Elvis gamely soldiered on, even after slicing his finger on his harmonica and subsequently bleeding on his instruments. Stunning encore featured a very pointed juxtaposition between Night Rally and (What's So Funny About) Peace, Love and Understanding. Night Rally was a particularly apt (and somewhat chilling) choice for Charlottesville, itself the site of some horrifying night rallies a few years ago.
They sound better than ever! Comfortable venue.
Breathtakingly beautiful concert. Andy is truly one of the best artists I've seen perform live and the spoken word he includes between songs is so raw and inspirational.
Funny and entertaining! Randy Rainbow is spectacular! The Paramount Theater was a nice, comfortable venue.
I’m 68 and introduced my 41 year old daughter to Randy Rainbow last night in Charlottesville. His show was absolutely top shelf. PERFECTION!
Best show I've been to in a long long time!!
Fabulous show. Great performer. Beautiful venue. Closed captions would have been nice because all in my party had trouble hearing words for part of it.
This was the second time I've seen Colbie, the first back around 2015. How could anyone give this performer less than five stars?
She has such an incredibly warm, fun stage presence and her words sound genuine. There were a couple of young fans who were, at times, a bit too loud with their "we live you Colbie" and instead of looking or getting annoyed at being interrupted, she smiled and commented with words like, "wow! You guys are fun!" or "Thank you so much!"
This was part of her "Coco" 15 yr tour so she sang all the songs from the album and chuckled as she she said it had been years since she sang some of the songs. Then she sang numbers of other songs including some new ones on an upcoming album.
It was obvious the crowd at the Charlottesville Paramount theater was truly in love with her.
At the end she said, "I'm not going to do any encores so will just stay out here a bit longer if it's 'OK' with you." Definitely OK with the audience!
The last song she asked everyone to get up and dance to the music. She's a magical, wonderful, gorgeous person.
The Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, VA is a very old and beautiful building. The personnel, from the ushers to the folks working concessions could not have been any friendlier.
She did not disappoint! Sang all her old hits and played some great new ones! Her guitar player, Jonathan Wyndham was amazing! What a great voice and asset to the band!
Percy Cardona on the squeeze box!
Actually, I was at the Paramount Theater, March 10th and once again they brought down the
house, Awesome and five stars doesn't do their consistent great performing justice. . .
I didn't get to go but I heard it was fantastic as the Mavericks usually are. I have mobility issues and am a disabled person who has diseases and mobility issues. I struggle to drive and out of town has become too difficult for me to navigate. I had music friends going that I have known now for almost 10 years, one lives here in Richmond, but they can't be bothered to help anyone out. When I was healthy and well I was the one who helped everyone. I was in the thick of everything and am a people person and very social. Life changed in a blink of an eye. It's been 18 years and people are about as selfish and unkind as they can be. I try very hard not to be a burden to anyone and to hide my pain and diseases. When I go out I put a smile on my face and push as hard as I can. I want to enjoy and have fun also and I love the Mavericks. They were playing at the Paramount where I could sit down and that is a necessity these days. I can't stand on my feet any longer. It would have been the perfect night to see the Mav's but I didn't get to go because people can't be bothered to just let me ride up to C'ville with them. I see the Ukraine's all helping each other, not pushing, or selfish and unkind. They are a real community and are all for the good of every single person. In America my own music friends who I met because of music and at shows can't even be bothered to give a sick and disabled person a ride. That is all I needed...a ride. I can sit alone as I talk to people and am independent. I don't mind that. What I do mind is being made to feel like I am worth people's time. They have gobs more money that I do but I would have even pitched in on gas money. I always do my fair share. I am so sorry that the Mavericks won't play in Richmond, VA. If they ever do.....I will be there!!
Devin was genuine and engaging with the crowd. His music is a reflection of the person he portrays to his audience.
It was memorable and in a beautifully restored elegant late 1920’s palatial theater of that time period. A wonderful evening’s entertainment.
Randy Rainbow is a masterful artist, with the ability to marry insightful, biting satire, with comedy, parody and an amazing singing talent. The entire audience was in thrall and in love. His is a must see performance!
