The Mayan

The show at The Mayan in DTLA was nothing short of incredible! Balthvs absolutely blew me away with their hypnotic blend of psychedelic funk, delivering a performance that had the entire crowd moving from start to finish. Their sound was tight, groovy, and immersive, perfectly complemented by the venue’s crisp acoustics and stunning trippy visuals that elevated the experience even further. The energy in the room was electric, with people fully lost in the music, dancing without a care. On top of that, The Mayan remains one of the best venues in LA—spacious, well-organized, and with easy access to everything, including the bathrooms (which can be a rarity at live shows). I can’t recommend Balthvs enough, and if you ever get the chance to see them live, don’t hesitate. An unforgettable night!

I went to Coldwave 2023 just to see Ash Code! They have amazing energy. The set list was a combo of their old music with their latest music. They sound better live! Great time. I hope I get to see Ash Code live again.

A-MAZ-INGGGG! Douglas sounded great, and I swear Bon is Fred Astaire reincarnated! Bon STILL has the moves!!!! So much energy from the guys! If you haven’t seen them in concert, MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!

Great show after such a long absence. A few technical faults but still high energy. The Mayan is a beautiful venue and was packed with screaming, cheering, and excited fans. LA Witch opened. They were awesome as well and needs much more attention than they have been getting.

If you missed it then hopefully you won't the next time this legendary DJ comes to town. Thick vibe, smiles all around, vendors with quality items and the SUBLEVEL family was epic! The club kids and queens came out. The stage and sound production was top notch! Unforgettable night of much needed immersive dance therapy!!!

Whaaaaaaaat! AAL are some seriously incredible musicians playing some amazing music! Not only that, but the concert had some of the best audio quality of all the concerts I have been to, in venues both big and small. AAL are a bands with both nuance and face-melting rhythm and solos. I don't know how it's possible to have both, but AAL pulls it off. They have gained a fan for life!

One of the best shows I ever went to! Winter sun was amazing to see live. The venue was cool how it looked like a Mayan temple and the light effects were superb! Got to see awesome moshpits, people sitting down and acting like they are rowing boats in the middle of the pit, crowd surfing etc. Got me a cool WinterSun shirt as well. Awesome night! Would recommend this venue to people for sure. The lady playing guitar in the beginning did a god job too plus the band that went before.
