About Here Comes The Kraken

Here Comes The Kraken (abreviado HCTK) es una banda mexicana de Deathcore originada en el año 2007 en la ciudad de Aguascalientes. Han sobresalido en el ámbito musical de su género, dando giras alrededor de Europa y Estados Unidos en diferentes ocasiones, y colaborando con artistas internacionales como Thy Art Is Murder, Veil of Maya, Impending Doom, Carnifex, entre otros. HCTK se originó gracias a los hermanos Tore y David González, quienes tras haber obtenido muy buena respuesta del público aguascalentense con su banda Antes del Accidente, decidieron ampliar el alcance de su música; así surgió el nombre de Here Comes The Kraken, y la banda comenzó a trabajar sus composiciones en inglés. De esta manera lograron llegar a audiencias internacionales por medio de las redes sociales, habiendo obtenido más de mil reproducciones en 24hrs al subir uno de los sencillos de su primer disco en su página de Myspace. Al poco tiempo, público al rededor del mundo comenzó a interesarse en la música de HCTK, y fue así como poco después de consolidarse, iniciaron su primer tour nacional en el año 2008 y grabaron su primer video musical Don't fail me Darko. En el mismo año acudieron por primera vez a Europa, tocando en países como Alemania, Belgica, Austria, Holanda, Suiza, Eslovaquia, República Checa, Italia, España, entre otros, lo cual les abrió las puertas para continuar en tours posteriores por este continente, visitándolo de nuevo en giras como The Omen Over Europe (2010) y Hate Across Europe (2013). De su tercera producción Hate, Greed & Death , mezclada por Ulrich Wild (Deftones, Pantera, White Zombie, Breaking Benjamin, Static-X) y masterizada por Ted Jensen (Slipknot, Marilyn Manson), se derivan los videos musicales Never regret y Nu Beginning; esta producción les permitió presentarse nuevamente por Europa, Estados Unidos y México en el Festival Vive Latino 2011, y como teloneros de la banda Avenged Sevenfold en su presentación en el Palacio de los Deportes. Los sencillos Cruzades y Aguascalientes, siendo este último una representación de la ciudad natal de la banda y convirtiéndose en uno de los sencillos más importantes a nivel internacional, fueron incluidos en Here Comes The Kraken Reissue, y presentados en festivales como MXChaos (2012), Vive Latino (2013), Hell and Heaven Fest (2013), Revolution (2013), y otros. La banda ha continuado trabajando en nuevas producciones como el sencillo Rattus, tocado en vivo por primera vez en la Feria Nacional de San Marcos 2015 en Aguascalientes. En 2015 participaron en shows como Force Fest (2015), Knotfest (2015) y el tour alrededor de México y Estados Unidos llamado La Muerte Tour (2016). A mediados del 2016 la banda se renueva con una alineación de cuatro miembros, dando la bienvenida a Jose Macario, y recibiendo de vuelta a su vocalista original Jose Manuel Tts, con quienes comienzan a dar shows alrededor de todo México, presentándose en eventos como el Corona Hell & Heaven Metal Fest (2016) abriendo para artistas como Rammstein y Behemoth, el 666mx Aguascalientes Metal Fest (2016), Force Fest (2016), Punk Rock Fest (2016), entre otros. En Enero del 2017 la banda lanza la canción Mar de Obscuridad con letras en español, introduciendo a los fans al primer sencillo del nuevo álbum de estudio que será lanzado próximamente. Ésta canción ha sido presentada por primera vez en el MXChaos Tour 2017, llevado a cabo en diferentes ciudades de México.
