About VM
VM- the brainchild of musical prodigy and frontman/singer/songwriter Marc Holyoak- is truly, sincerely, without a doubt, one of the most interesting bands you will ever get to hear about. Throughout the course of their musical union, the members of VM (an abbreviation of the original name Virgin Mary) have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life with their catchy and energetic arena rock that anyone can enjoy. "One night my manager and I were hanging out and smoking and talking about the lineup I wanted to form. I had been playing shows with my ex-wife as the bassist when we were together and he told me I should try to put together an all-girl backup group, like Prince," Marc says about the original conversation that formed the band. "I didn't really know much of Prince's music at the time, unfortunately; in fact, I had never heard of that kind of lineup at all for a rock band, and I thought it was a great idea- so I started posting ads and asking around the local scene, and it wasn't long before I had a group together, and as soon as we started playing shows it just took off from there". Performing at Hawaii's most prestigious venues and making countless public media appearances, this unique Rock Band from Honolulu has survived several breakups and hiatuses to finally make it on-tour in the mainland US, earning the respect and affection of critics and fans alike! Get in touch today and learn more about their musical expertise, repertoire, and performance rates.
