Description du concert
In support of their forthcoming EP Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be out on September 27, The Rions are embarking on a huge 21-date Australian tour kicking off this October. With 11 x sold out shows under their belt already in 2024 plus the band’s first-ever UK and Europe tour (with mates Pacific Avenue), The Rions are continuing to broaden their reach across Australia and beyond. Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be follows the band’s widely-acclaimed debut EP Minivan released in 2023. The five-track project chronicled their transformation from high school ones-to-watch to the self-assured band they’ve now become, capturing the effervescence of love, heartbreak and self-discovery, and precipitating the fearless vulnerability The Rions bring to this new EP. On Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be, the band share, “For our second EP, we wanted to approach it with raw authenticity. This is the most genuine we’ve ever been with our stories, and we’re thrilled to share it with you all.” Alongside their newest track, ‘Time Will Try’, the forthcoming EP is set to include recent favourites ‘Sweet Cocoon’ and ‘Physical Medicine’ - both of which peaked at #1 on triple j’s Most Played Tracks, and garnered extensive media support from Rolling Stone Australia, NME, The Music, iHeartRadio, and Ones To Watch among others. Clocking over 30 million streams worldwide, they’ve built up a legion of loyal fans from every corner of the world with their innate ability to filter universally felt experiences through their relentlessly catchy songwriting, and the band show no signs of slowing down.DIGITAL DOWNLOADSTicket type includes 1 x ticket to The Rions + 1 x Digital Download of ‘Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be’ EP + Exclusive behind the scenes photos not available anywhere else. Biographie de The Rions

The 4-schoolmates from Avalon (Noah Blockley, Harley Wilson, Asher McLean & Tom Partington) are primed for a big 2023 as they emerge from the studio with their strongest music yet.

They've shown a glimpse of songwriting and musicianship well beyond their years, and after going back-to-back in consecutive Hottest 100 countdowns they’ve set a path to continue their rise with the announcement of their debut EP 'Minivan' (out Aug 11).

Featuring crowd favourite ‘Scary Movies’ and latest single 'Minivan', the EP was recorded in the Byron Bay hinterlands with Producer Chris Collins (Matt Corby, Skeggs, Middle Kids).

With the latest single 'Minivan', the band says "we really wanted this song to reflect the wild spirit of youth, with a sound that would evoke a sense of maturing and growing into the person you want to become".

The single comes hot off their sold out 10-date tour in support of ‘Scary Movies’, which shows solidified a loyal fanbase of their own following theatre tours in the support slot for Lime Cordiale and Boy & Bear and impressive festival performances at Grapevine Gathering, Party In the Paddock and Festival of the Sun.

Citing influence from Arctic Monkeys, Dayglow and The Beatles, they’ve carved out their own sound which seems to be connecting with some 10 million streams worldwide across their catalogue which also includes the Unearthed High winning ‘Night Light’, 'Anakin', ‘Disassociation’, ‘Sadie’, ‘Head Still Hurts’ and ‘Halfway Out’.
