A propos de Paz Lenchantin
Paz Lenchantin (pronounced "Paz Lenchantin") is an Argentinian rock musician. She was born on December 12, 1973 in Mar del Plata, Argentina and came to Los Angeles with her parents.
While in a band called the Martini's, Billy Howerdel, Josh Freese, Troy Van Leeuwen, and Maynard James Keenan invited her to join their group, A Perfect Circle. She contributed to their first album, Mer de Noms by playing bass guitar, violin and back-up vocals. She left A Perfect Circle to play for Billy Corgan's short-lived band, Zwan. Although not a live member for A Perfect Circle, Paz contributed to both Thirteenth Step and eMOTIVe, playing bass, strings and piano. She also contributed a solo cover of the song "Hollow" to A Perfect Circle's CD/DVD release, aMOTION.
Paz Lenchantin is a transitional artist that has contributed to many different bands. Along with her sister Ana Lenchantin, Paz has played with David Pajo in Papa M, as well as contributed to Auf der Maur's album Auf der Maur. You will find Paz appearing on Queens of the Stone Age's album, Songs for the Deaf, playing bass on Brightblack Morning Light, as well as fiddle and banjo on the Silver Jews's record, Tanglewood Numbers. She toured with RTX/Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux. She has also contributed to and gone on tour with Jarboe of Swans.
In April 2005, Paz Lenchantin made a notable guest appearance with Los Angeles band, Kaura on violin for the song 'Dividing Lines' included on their eponymous EP.
