District

District was established in 2014 as a movement with the aim of showcasing various artists who share our passion for house music. Three years down the line, the brand has evolved into one of the mainstays in the local dance scene, hosting Maltese and also international DJs through a series of events in Malta’s most prominent venues. District's first season saw us host Wednesday nights at The Playground, Paceville. As Summer 2015 approached, District was entrusted with the designing and opening of another brand new club forming part of Sky Complex, Paceville, which was named The Factory and granted exclusively for District's use through out the summer season. After an exponential growth in attendees and a sudden word-of-mouth-driven hype surrounding the brand, District was invited to host Friday nights at one of the venues forming part of Malta’s premier clubbing destination, Gianpula Village, for the summer of 2016. The move to an open-air club, coupled with a reinforced, well-received music policy, took District to new heights, with eight weeks headlined by Tiga on Week Four. District has created a shift in modern club culture in Malta, with the free-spirited ethos that runs through the veins of its founders and resident artists being passed on to clubbers at every event. Central to the District vibe is the connection between performing artists, clubbers and the physical environment offered by the venues we select. The love that is put into every event is shared among revellers who have remained loyal as District continues to go from strength to strength. District (est. 2014) is a clubbing concept where artists come together to express themselves through their own musical identity.
