It was nice, nice, very nice.
Seriously, this was a really fun evening of songs from my youth. Ambrosia’s members all sound great, and I enjoyed the narration throughout the show. The guests were great, too. I was impressed at how adeptly Ambrosia switched between performing their songs and serving as the backup band for guests Eliot Lurie, Al Stewart, Walter Egan and John Ford Coley.

Anyone who appreciates great musicianship from a classic progressive /pop band should try to catch Ambrosia in concert. While they are best known in recent years for their beautiful smooth ballads played on the 'yacht rock' radio, they perform both their deeper cuts and covers exquisitely. Their unexpected cover of the Eagles' 'Take It To The Limit' in honor of the recently passed Randy Meisner (sung beautifully by Mary Harris and Kip Lennon) was touching. Whether they are touring with other 'Yacht Rock' musicians or on their own, they are definitely worth seeing!

Fantastic show! They played all their hits and so much more. Great musicianship and those signature vocals sounded great. They had some fun surprises up their sleeves, and they played some fabulous others’ songs.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show.

About Ambrosia
The year is 1970, and four young musicians from the South Bay of Los Angeles, come together to create a new invigorating style of music exploring the possibilities of progressive, classical and world influences; rooted with the soul of the blues and R&B.
Originally labeled as America’s answer to progressive English acts such as “Yes” and “King Crimson”, the group quickly proved that and much more, garnering an impressive 5 Grammy Nominations, 5 Hit Singles, heavy airplay, and the admiration and respect of the musical community. All this was in addition to sold out concerts around the world; attracting collaborations with such cultural icons as Leonard Bernstein, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., and Alan Parsons.
Today, the band is more alive and compelling than ever with founding members Joe Puerta on bass & lead vocals, Burleigh Drummond on drums, and Christopher North on organ/synth; with the additions of Doug Jackson on electric guitar, Mary Harris on keyboards, and the powerful and contemporary lead vocals of Kipp Lennon… Together Ambrosia is exploring new musical territory and continuing to wow life-long fans and new converts alike !
