Pros: Dave’s vocals, the light-up violin, cozy/intimate venue, learned they are going back on tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Everglow in the fall.
Con: Was a very laid back acoustic set. Mae’s music has such amazing energy, but I feel like some of it was lost in an acoustic setting. Hoping the anniversary show brings more of that amazing energy I’ve come to love from their music!
Went with my son to see the show. As a birthday present, I got him a VIP pass as well. Here is my one criticism that had nothing to do both Dogma and Mammouth performing. Before the event, I tried to find out when the meet and greet would happen. I contacted the Dogma support team twice and got no response, neither did the venue when I emailed the Sonia. The Sonia responded back they're not in control of the meet and greet. This being the case, we got there early at 5:00. The person at the box office told us the meet and greet will be at 5:30. So we grabbed a drink at The Middle East and came back at 5:30, only for my son to be let in at 6:30. The rest of us with GA tickets were let in at 7:15! This meant both of us could've grabbed some dinner before the show. Again, both Dogma and Mammouth put on an amazing show with the whole meet and greet delay being the only negative issue.
Dogma are one of the most expressive bands while interacting with the crowd. They went hard and showed they actually have musical chops. They can play and look incredibly evil and sexy at the same time. I'm a sinner for life in the cult of Dogma.
Venue was beautiful and it’s a no brainer that this band brought the best energy to the stage. Although, they leave it all on stage. I got the VIP experience to meet David and Eugene and they’re super humble and very kind people. I hope they come back to Boston very soon despite the small audience. I will definitely be back to see them when they come back around.
Always a blast to see punk legend that is John Brannon & his band. The last time I kicked it with him was at the Soda Bar, San Diego 2018.
Good times! Safe travels to NYC John.
Greatest show I've been to in a while. I see a lot of music my hundredth this year. Dead Boys rocked like the 80s. If you get a chance go rock out
Wow! They blew the roof off and my mind. They also hung out afterwards and chatted with everyone and signed everybody’s merch. Can’t wait to see them again and play a longer headliner. Such cool genuine humans.
They have intense energy and always give it their all for live performances. I suggest checking them out live if you ever have the chance. Take Offense and Brat were also great openers too. This tour was stacked well with talent.
The event was really great! I was front row, one of best places in the venue. NAT AND ALEX WOLFF HAVE BEEN MY IDOLS SINCE I WAS A CHILD AND THEY WERE PHENOMENAL.
Such an intimate venue. I've been a die hard since 2015. Meeting Sam was something I'd never thought would happen!! Thank you not just for taking the time to meet with me but for EVERYTHING you do!!!
This was an awesome show! I went to see the Dollyrots and saw two other bands that sound good. Bought some merch from the bands. The venue was nice, lots of room and great view of the stage where ever you stood. Definitely would go back.
I usually won't post 5 stars but Pixy earned all 5 of them. We need more Kpop events in Mass. Despite the smaller venue this event was well organized and very good. All the girls were very sweet and performed great. Lola had a knee injury and was unable to dance but she sang and interacted with the fans happily. Pixy deserves more fans and support! See them before they blow up!
I came for KBong, but I left with a new favorite reggae artist in Dubbest. You guys are excellent, every song is a jam. Will you ever play at Levitate Backyard in Marshfield, MA?? It would be epic.
This was the best show I have ever been to. Emlyn was so nice. She truly cares about her fans. She really brought the energy and stage presence the stage. She’s amazing. If you have a chance to go to an emlyn show I highly recommend it. I will be attending her next tour.
Nearly 40 years strong, Southern Culture on the Skids has not lost a step - the original 3-some rocked the house at Sonia's to a great crowd on a Monday night in Boston.
Rick, Mary & Dave played a great mix of their standards & new numbers from their pandemic release.
The organist from Fenway Park sat in on House of Bamboo to really get the crowd dancing!
Venue had only one bartender, and was super hot inside. Thank goodness they finally turned the air conditioning on. Didn’t appreciate the rushing us out after the show and not being able to enjoy the meet and greet after the Mary, Rick and Dave.
Show was great as usual, love my SCOTS.
Everything about this show was literally perfect. I wish she played every song twice. The crowd was beautiful and amazing and I love the venue sooooo much. Thanks for everything Scene Queen ily
Incredibly cool to see Pianos live again after a 3+ year hiatus from touring. All the new songs sounded great, and the band still played a bunch of old songs. Sonia is one of my favorite venues right now, just awesome to see performances in a smaller, intimate space. All the band members were a part of the crowd for each set, and everything felt relaxed and laid back. Best show I’ve been to in a while.
Wax is a great rapper and showman came down and rapped in front of me, and signed stuff for me. Love wax would love to see him back and hope to see him in Maine soon.
super rare to find another artist that matches guardin’s energy on stage, dude is awesome this was my 3rd time seeing him because he always tours with other artists I want to see and he always puts on a good show
