Treat for my kid who is a huge fan. I had a vague worry Jack White would be a bit of an artist about things but I was totally wrong. He thrashed out a solid 90 minutes of crowd pleasers, hits from throughout his career. Jack White has been strumming out his own brand of bluesy rock before he had an audience and I think he'll still be doing this long after the world stops caring about the possibilities for noise enabled by Leo Fender designs. Not one I would have gone to ordinarily but everyone left grinning. Support band Black Mekon were wonderful, great humour and really won over the crowd, tricky in a larger venue supporting a big name artist. 5/5 for the artists but burn the venue down with the security bullies inside. nicoboycedøtcøm

First time seeing Jack White. 6 new songs played from “No Name” - AMAZING! The rest of the show was a non-stop rock-n-roll clinic spanning his entire career. Barely any time between songs. No banter, just on to the next song. Whatever Jack feels like playing he just calls it out to the band and they go. I love that spontaneity. So rare for concerts these days. I’ve never seen such a fast-paced show. It went by SO FAST! This concert exceeded all my (very high) expectations. Jack is obviously a pro, but his band and the crew are all top notch. The crew even have uniforms, and it’s a good thing. You can tell by the end product that everyone is ALL IN. Final note, Roadrunner is a fantastic venue.

Jack and the boys tore the house down from start to finish. The crowd was hot but I wish he'd still play in Manhattan as it's just a better class of people living there. This group had people leaving early because the show was as varied across his whole career (mostly people wanting more White Stripes) I met people from all over the place outside of Brooklyn and like every other show of his I've seen, they were all great to hang out with away from the show. A bunch of us happened to walk into a local bar all within 10 minutes of each other since we all got there early to be safe considering the difficulties in getting directly to places in Brooklyn if your not from there. We all just hung out, grabbed some food and drinks and had a bullshit session. Same thing with those of us who got on line early. It was only the locals who, while mostly enthusiastic about the show--at least the closer to the stage you got--who were rude, pushy and were in such a rush to GTFO after, they were practically trampling anyone who was disabled. Wheel chair, cane, casts and more were simply seen as objects in the way to be shoved and bumped around. The venue was the nicest one I've seen in Brooklyn, the staff is well trained and extremely courteous. The only problem with King's Theatre is the lack of any local parking lots but it was the same the other times I've made the trek to Brooklyn. That's another advantage to Manhattan. There's parking everywhere. I think my favorite part of the show was the killer extended version of Black Math. I also loved hearing High Ball Stepper live again. Of course seeing Patrick Keeler go off during Broken Boy Soldier was a treat. I am glad the band didn't have to "Turn the Page" and travel tonight considering how Mother Nature decided to stop by and give us all a passing wave. Thank you for another great night "Johnny Guitar".

Acerca De Jack White

Born the youngest of ten children, raised in Southwest Detroit and a resident of Nashville since 2005, Jack White is one of the most prolific and renowned artists of the past fifteen years.

When the White Stripes started in 1997 no one, least of all Jack, ever expected that a red-and-white two-piece band would take hold in the mainstream world. With the release of 2001’s White Blood Cells the band was thrust on magazine covers and captivating audiences through worldwide touring. “Fell in Love With a Girl” served as the band’s breakthrough hit and its accompanying Michel Gondry Lego clip was chosen by Pitchfork Media as the #1 music video of the 2000’s.

The release of Elephant in 2003 not only cemented the band’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with, but it also offered the hit “Seven Nation Army” which has since become appropriated as a de facto stadium chant for many sports teams the world over.

In 2004 White teamed up with Loretta Lynn to produce and perform on her Van Lear Rose album, an effort that won Grammy’s for Best Country Album and Best Country collaboration with vocals for the single “Portland, Oregon.” To date White has won nine Grammys in seven different categories.

White formed a “new band of old friends” the Raconteurs in 2006 and their debut album Broken Boy Soldiers showed a markedly different side, most notably one where songwriting, vocal and guitar duties were shared. The success of their debut-single “Steady, As She Goes” proved that White’s previous accomplishments were no fluke.

To take it even further, in 2009 White took to his original instrument, the drums, and started the Dead Weather with members of the Kills, Queens of the Stone Age and the Greenhornes. Releasing two albums in two years and unleashing a dark, captivating live show upon curious audiences, the Dead Weather futher-cemented Jack White’s musical versatility and range.

Also in 2009, White opened the doors to his very own record label, Third Man Records, where he has produced over 120 records in less than three years. Spanning artists as varied as Jerry Lee Lewis, the Smoke Fairies, Wanda Jackson, Black Milk and Stephen Colbert, the label has quickly developed a reputation as a leader in the vinyl record industry.

In January 2012 White announced the upcoming release of his debut album Blunderbuss which will be accompanied by extensive touring across the world.
