With perpetual sincerity, and an often minimal drumset (consisting sometimes in one unique cymbal), he invented his own music. His distinctive groove, and his search for a pure, authentic sound, have built him a solid reputation on the jazz scene and beyond, up to establishing him among the premier drummers.
