Lagartija Nick has never been too successful among the vast public but just with the critics.

Antonio Arias (Vocals, Guitar) is the Alma Mater from Lagartija Nick, a band that has been suffering from much re-structuring on its formation.
Very strong in their music are the "almost-literary" lyrics (something common among all the recent bands coming from Granada, Spain, one of the main sources of Spanish indie-pop-rock; As example, the lyrics from Lori Meyers or Los Planetas).

The band was formed in early 80's and continues working with intensity, always with risky and innovative albums that have been moving between subconscience, psicodelia, hardcore, futuristic trips and traditional flamenco.
