About this concert
Good God Father makes 9th annual performance at Fire Fest NW Sunday August 30, 2025 at 6:45pm. FireFest NW (formerly X-Fest NW) has functioned as an annual event on Labor Day weekend (at the end of summer) since 2003. FireFest NW has been, from year to year, a small but successful event. Our goal has been and is to keep our experience about people, music and God with us. We will have 30+ faith-oriented musicians, bands, speakers, and artists joining together to share, create, and enjoy this family weekend. Gates open Friday, August 29th at noon, with kickoff opening at 3:45 pm. with Jose Villasenor as the "Ba'al Tokea" (Blower of the Shofar). Friday evening there will be a traditional Shabbat dinner, with Jewish blessings. Pastor Alvarez of the River Church will be explaining and presenting this. On Saturday and Sunday, There will be communal brunch and dinner-- provided at no charge by volunteer chefs. There are two stages-- indoor and one outdoor -- and the Art Gallery room is a third stage, for acoustic music. This is a free event . . . but please pre-register! . . .so we know you are coming and can plan accordingly.

Very enjoyable opening set from a musician whom I started following recently. The opening and closing songs were the best that he played this night.

Good God Father Biography

"Freak Gospel Pop", emanating from the dark woods of Oregon, Good God Father molds the archaic with the imminent to reconcile the past with the present, in order to author and usher in a more beautiful future. The whole presentation is marked by an amalgam of modern thought and culture through means of somber and sober guitar and vocals, on a march through Armageddon. At times, sweet and surrendering, and at most others, brash, and abrasive, these sounds are sure to wake the living and dead, in time for dessert.
