LUCKYANDLOVE Biography
Live+lit drumming, hands+feet triggers, expression pedals+driving synthwave dance-inducing-electro making + shoe-gazing.
LUCKYANDLOVE currently write and record in their music studio in Echo Park, California. The band is looking forward to releaseing new tracks with 2017 Grammy winning Be Hussey (TANGIENTS who they toured with in the Fall) at Comp-ny studio and also with legendary producer John Fryer (This Mortal Coil, Nine Inch Nails, Cocteau Twins, Love and Rockets, Depeche Mode) with plans to drop more singles soon.
"...Electrowave and synth-wave, blended with cold-wave ... an excellent record in hand which music sites and the dedicated “synthetic” media will discover sooner or later. A good band with a good record, and an excellent sound that came to light in acknowledged studios by some really skilled people. " - Noise Journal
"Electropop ... with an early 2000s vibe. Arise from the glorious era of the feminine Electropop movement. Here the musical roots are particularly good to hear. Especially worth mentioning is the very well articulated and transformable voice of April Love."- Electro Zombies
"the likes of Kraftwerk and humanizes it through lush vocals and hazy electronica ... the elegance and aloofness of the Blitz Kid originators...dreamy and sonorous, yet wonderfully lucid and focused ... chilled out dance set meets the stoner haze.." - The Swindonian
"They successfully incorporate synth-heavy bass with polyphonic harmonies and crystalline vocals, propelling the music into trance-inducing territory."- Synthpop Lover
"The duo construct darkly tinged analog daydreams."- Somewhere Cold
"To say that I was impressed with this album would be an understatement. LUCKYANDLOVE are synthpop done right…a nod to the past with a wink toward the future."- Echo Synthetic
"Impulsive electro bliss in a similar stratosphere with Ladytron, Glass Candy or Le Tigre... This is rich intriguing synthtastic mastery" – Big Takeover Magazine
"Calling to mind the work of Depeche Mode and Washed Out... envelopes the listener and takes them on a sci-fi journey" – Overblown Magazine
"The single "Sexy" is fuckin great" – Mark Burgess (The Chameleons)
“Metropolitan mode vanities reach galactic new levels. The oscillation between the asphalt synth streets and interstellar outer realms feels closer than ever, as Lucky + Love ride out their Ryan Gosling film fantasies like a science fiction rocket of building emotions out to outer reaches of our galaxy & minds" – Impose Magazine
“Riveting… an intriguing undertaking, which somehow ends up being equal parts chaotic and comforting” – PureM Magazine
