Lyn&TheFingers Biography
A young jazz and progressive pop band from Leipzig, which came together through their joint jazz/popular music studies at the HMT in Leipzig in February 2023.
It consists of Nora Lyn Handschuh on vocals, Marvin Uhlig on flute, Julius Bode on trumpet and flugelhorn, Caspar Rutsch on tenor sax, Julian Kay Zichner on piano, Guillermo Valdivia on double bass and Christoph Sprenger on drums.
In Lyn's compositions and arrangements, jazz and progressive pop merge together,
while her lyrics talk about deep emotions, as well as self-ironic stories to swing along.
In February 2023, the group had the opportunity for the first time to enter a small independent studio in western Leipzig and record three tracks. Over the course of the year, the tracks were released as singles on Spotify and other streaming services. Two of them are Nora's own compositions, for which she also produced elaborate music videos together with the young filmmaker Mino Keldorfer. A lot has happened since the band was founded.
The ensemble has played several concerts in various venues in eastern Germany. The next tour is planned for July 2025. Their latest project was an EP production at the studio of Vincent Thomas Rohr in Leipzig, of which they currently release the singles. Beautiful live music videos and another elaborate music video are currently in the release process on YouTube. The band is very motivated, has a lot planned for the future and invites you to follow them on their journey.
