reservas@acefala.org

Caliza Biography
Caliza is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Madrid who has been forging her own path for nearly a decade through singularity and independence. With her debut album "Medianoche/Mediodía" (2015), she anticipated the current trend of dark synthpop, while her second album, "Mar de cristal" (2018), produced in collaboration with British DJ David Harrow, marked a shift towards brighter soundscapes.
"El descenso" (2021), her third and most recent album, approaches the theme of the climate crisis. Through various musical perspectives that all share captivating melodies and elaborate and at times dystopian lyrics, Caliza captures the contrast between despair and resilience, expressing the will to survive in a world on the brink of collapse.
Apart from these three albums and various singles and collaborations, Caliza has also ventured into other realms of music creation. She is responsible for the theme song of the baroque podcast "Las hijas de Felipe" and has recently created an original score for the 1920 silent film "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari," which she currently performs live alongside the screening, and that will soon be released in physical format.
Caliza has shared the stage with Crash Course in Science, Molly Nilsson, and Cate Le Bon, and has performed in cultural institutions such as Matadero Madrid, CA2M, the Geology Museum of Madrid, and MUSAC in León, as well as in venues and self-managed spaces across Spain or feminist festival in Slovenia.
