Faces of Literacy will celebrate the cultural fabric that makes up the Fox Valley. Through an immersive, musical, storytelling-based journey, you’ll hear directly from those whose lives have been transformed by our literacy programs. This year, we're excited to introduce a new segment to our event – Voices from Our Community. With generous help from Mile of Music, we will be sharing original songs from familiar Mile of Music artists paired with the moving stories of courage and determination written by individuals from our community. It’s a powerful reminder of how the skills and confidence gained through literacy can open doors to greater opportunities, a more fulfilling life, and a stronger community. ​ We will be hearing student stories and debuting new songs from Mile of Music Artists: The Belle Weather • Laura Bomber • Amelia Ford • Christopher Gold • Michael Grabner • Kurt Gunn • Claire Kelly • Eric W. PLUS, several LIVE performances will be announced soon!​ ​ The evening promises to be enriching and enjoyable, with a cocktail hour, a selection of gourmet hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, a client impact presentation, and a raffle.
