James Lee Murray Biography
I just want the music to feel true. Be it joyful, painful, or funky... just let it be me that you feel in the air and in your spirit.
From day one, music has been the centerpiece in my life. My father is professional blues and jazz keyboardist and my mother played classical piano and sang. Both, in there own ways, left an indelible mark on me musically. My earliest memories are being at my dad's live blues gigs. I have especially been inspired by gospel blues and soul artists like Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles. After 7 years of being the front man in a local soul band, I am venturing out on my own and starting from scratch, grateful for the lessons and excited for the next phase. I have been drawn to the creative process since I can remember, I hope to do this as long as I'm alive. And! I hope you'll join me on the journey:)
