Anton Barbeau Biography
Anton Barbeau, a Sacramento native and lifelong songwriter, has released over 30 albums, including his latest, Morgenmusik/Nachtschlager. He's worked with members of XTC, Cake, The Pretenders, The Soft Boys and the Bevis Frond. Popmatters says of him, simply, "Anton Barbeau is one of the best unknown pop singer-songwriters in the world, period." After living abroad for 15 years, first in the UK and then in Berlin, Barbeau has returned to California, and now lives on his wife's small town family farm. Oh, and Julian Cope got him stoned in Croydon.
