Matty & The Penders

Originally formed as a garage band by three neighbors during the pandemic (on Pender Road, of course!), things took a more serious turn with the addition of well-known Seacoast NH area solo acoustic artist Matt Gelinas (college roommate of guitarist Mike Malok). The foursome decided to make a run at it morphing their "dad band" into one of Seacoast NH & Southern ME's most popular cover acts regularly drawing 300+ people to their shows. With a setlist solely focusing on the diversity of '90 rock and alternative, Matty & The Penders covers artists such as Third Eye Blind, Matchbox Twenty, Collective Soul, Better Than Ezra, Sublime, Fuel and more. Their focus on putting on a fun, crowd engaged, and concert-like experience has led them to be the featured band on iHeart Radio's Greg & The Morning Buzz "Luau on the Lake" party cruise for multiple years running as well as being named the "Official House Band" of the largest beer festival in New England; the Exeter, NH Powder Keg.
