About this concert
Best known to many as a celebrated actor across film and television, Alicia Witt is also a gifted singer-songwriter with a deeply personal and piano-driven sound. A classically trained pianist and former competitive player, Witt has carved a parallel path as a musician, earning praise for her raw, melodic songwriting and magnetic live performances. Her release Witness (2023) is the culmination of years spent honing her craft, following the success of her 2021 album The Conduit, which featured the Top 30 Billboard AC Radio Chart single Chasing Shadows. Blending emotionally charged storytelling with bold pop sensibilities, her music has been described as 'sharply personal, boldly melodic pop originals in the Carole King/Billy Joel vein' and ‘touching lost-and-found love ballads' (Philadelphia Inquirer). Alicia has shared stages with the likes of Ben Folds Five, Rachel Platten, and Jimmy Webb, and has performed everywhere from intimate clubs to the Grand Ole Opry. Her 2018 album 15000 Days, produced by Grammy-winner Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Norah Jones), showcased her continued evolution as a songwriter and performer. Earlier work like Revisionary History, produced by Ben Folds, cemented her reputation for intelligent, emotionally resonant pop. A familiar face to audiences worldwide from acclaimed roles in The Walking Dead, Nashville, Orange Is the New Black, and Twin Peaks, Witt’s film credits include Two Weeks’ Notice, Vanilla Sky, Mr. Holland’s Opus, and over a dozen beloved Christmas movies—many of which feature her own original music. Whether on screen or behind a piano, Alicia Witt brings a rare depth of artistry, and her upcoming Dublin performance promises a night of beautifully crafted songs, intimate storytelling, and soul-stirring vocals. Meet and Greet pre-show reception is available at the ticket link as well - your chance to take photos, get autographs and visit with Alicia before the show.

Alicia Witt Biography

Actor and singer-songwriter Alicia Witt has played her piano-driven pop-rock music all over the world, including a performance at the renowned Grand Ole Opry, as well as opening for Ben Folds Five, John Fullbright, Rachel Platten, Jimmy Webb, and Bob Schneider. She will be releasing her next album, The Conduit, in 2021, which she co-produced alongside Jordan Lehning (Lydia Luce) and Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses). Previous releases include 15000 Days, produced by Grammy award-winning producer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Norah Jones, Dawes) and the Ben Folds produced Revisionary History, hailed by Nashville Scene as “a piano-pop gem that sounds by turns like “Grey Seal”-era Elton John, an alt-universe Fiona Apple and a film-noir chanteuse notching her nights in cigarette burns on the fallboard.”

Also known for her decades-long career as a prolific TV/film actress (beginning with David Lynch's 'Dune' at the age of 7), Alicia’s music has been featured in numerous movies. Her most recent Hallmark Christmas movie, 2020’s Christmas Tree Lane, features two of Witt’s original songs. Alicia was most recently seen in Netflix’s I Care A Lot, starring Rosamund Pike, and leading the cast of Modern Persuasion. Other credits include Orange Is The New Black, The Walking Dead, ABC’s Nashville, Two Weeks Notice, Mr Holland’s Opus, The Sopranos, Cybill, and Urban Legend.
